Democratic lawmakers on Tuesday blasted police handling of a racially charged case in which a neighborhood watch volunteer shot dead an unarmed black teenager in Florida, accusing local law enforcement officials of botching the investigation.
The lawmakers, speaking at a congressional forum attended by the parents of the slain teenager, called for the immediate arrest of 28-year-old George Zimmerman, the white Hispanic who shot 17-year-old Trayvon Martin on February 26 in what he said was self-defense.
Florida law enforcement officials have faced intense criticism in recent weeks from civil rights activists and others for not arresting Zimmerman, who remains at large and in seclusion. Police say a state "stand your ground" law that allows people to use deadly force when they perceive danger in any public place has prevented them from making an arrest.
Congresswoman Corrine Brown, who represents Sanford, the town where the shooting took place, decried the police inaction, saying she did not know if it was due to incompetence, a cover-up or "all of the above."

A civilized people would wait until all the facts were in before coming to any kind of conclusion.

Corrine Brown, who represents Sanford by the drawing of a hugely gerrymandered district, would like nothing more than to lead a lynch mob into Sanford to kidnap Hispanic George Zimmerman and "give him the justice he deserves".
I hope any goodwill the Democrats had coming their way, from the Sanford police department and Sanford town leadership, has been destroyed by this intemperate statement by an elected member of the federal government.
This news is 4 days old, shows how swift the Sanford congresscritter is, or an attempt to get people all "Wee-Wee'd" despite the facts on the ground.
I don’t ever remember reading the term “white Hispanic “ until this case. I mean, hispanics are white, but it has always been simply “hispanic” until now. What changed? Hmmm?

It is my understanding that, at the time of this incident, the Sanford police called a prosecutor for guidance in handling this case and were advised not to make an arrest due to lack of evidence that would hold up in court. Just last week, I saw an quote from a local prosecutor down there indicating that the state didn’t have much of a case and that Zimmerman would probably walk. Imagine the reaction of the professional race pimps if that were to happen.
The state doesn't have ANY case against Zimmerman. It should, of course, have initial suspicion, after all, there is a dead body. But it is not uncommon for self defense to be justified, and all the evidence here points in that direction. There is NO countervailing evidence, none.

* 86% of white victims were killed by whites
* 94% of black victims were killed by blacks
You have to really see the chart,
but black on white homicide is MUCH more than white on black.

Sad truth is they will charge Zimmerman, and he will do time. Expect Holder and the DOJ to start civil rights proceedings soon.
Once the case goes racial, at this level, a scape goat will be found. If it isn't going to be Zimmerman, it will be the police. But someone will be charged in this if only to shut up the offended class before riots start.
