What conservatives should do now is don't let up, keep the pressure on. We have yet another debt celing increase, just before the election. We need a strategy for that to win real cuts. Defunding the left anywhere, defunds them everywhere.

Best bet is for the Republicans to simply set up a health care system for Democrats separately from the real healthcare system. Then finance it with a tax applicable only to Democrats, or those who sign up for the Democrat health care system.

It would be steeply progressive, but none would escape. All (of them) would share.

The real healthcare system would continue to make use of the latest and greatest technological advances in medicine ~ the Democrat system would be limited to what is available in government hospitals in Birmingham England (using that place as a guideline eh).

That way the Democrats would get the misery they so dearly love and deserve.

The rest of us would be happy.
