California Gov. Jerry Brown calling his plan a 'Millionaires' Tax'

When Gov. Jerry Brown reached a tax compromise with the California Federation of Teachers and liberal activists, apparently their "Millionaires' Tax" slogan was included in the deal.

Brown launched a new campaign website today whose front page calls the proposal a "Millionaires' Tax" even though it contains a quarter-cent sales tax increase and starts hiking income taxes at $250,000 for single filers and $500,000 for couples.

Ever check the rates on Moving Van Rentals from AZ and Nevada going TO CA and vise versa? What an exchange rate.

OK Jerry lets have a little lesson in tax revenues. The State increases taxes on the wealthy who are already paying 85% of the states taxes. The wealthy move their assets outside the state (they can really afford to do that) to avoid paying California State taxes. The amount of tax the State receives goes down.

Raise taxes and the revenue goes down.

Got it?

Desperation. Hoping it will buy them a few more months, then they’ll find something else to tax. At some point they will have to disappoint the SEIU...and they will promptly be eaten. :)

Should call it the Professionals Relocating Outside Of California plan.

Sure, many folks will stay who are affected ... but many will join the hundreds of thousands of productive folks who already have left California for a state that does not punish them.

Supply and demand. If they didn’t raise the price, rental trucks would be impossible to find in Kalipornia

It’s the “kill the goose who lays golden eggs” plan.
