He doesn’t want his agenda branded Socialist yet Europeans recognize it for what it is.
He knows there is an inborn resistance to Socialism in America, so he hems, haws, and then says “well people say ‘don’t touch my medicare...’”.
Can’t stand behind his goals even though he’s on tape saying the end game is to end private medical insurance even if it takes 10-20 years.
