George Zimmerman's dad says Travyon told his son, 'You're gonna die now'

On FOX Orlando Wednesday evening, Robert Zimmerman, the father of the man who fatally shot 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, said his son was the victim. He said that Martin told George Zimmerman, "You're gonna die now, or you're gonna die tonight."

“George was going to the store, and he saw someone in his community that he did not recognize as living there,” Robert Zimmerman, a retired judge, said. “Because there had been a lot of break-ins in the area, he thought that was suspicious that someone would not be walking on the street or the sidewalk, but they'd be walking right behind the townhomes.”

Robert Zimmerman said that his son, George Zimmerman, 28, then called a non-emergency number to report this stranger. He lost sight of the teen as he looked for an address to report to police, Robert Zimmerman told the FOX affiliate....

I hear TDC isn’t what it was in ‘82 either.

Back in 2006 after the national elections in Kenya, Raila Odinga had lost his try for President of Kenya but rioting ensued by his followers. BHO2 encouraged Odinga to foment murderous rampages. Christian churches were burned down with parishioners inside.

Never, never, never forget that our President advised his relative to do that. It is what he intends for the U.S. - of that, I have no doubt.

I don’t think it could be. Uijonbu (outside of Camp Red Cloud) was quite a lot of fun in the 70’s, believe me. Partied in the town outside of Osan Air Force Base while on TDY. Different vibe than TDC. And the bars outside of Yongsan in Seoul were different, as well, as were the places in the more “Korean” parts of Seoul.

He probably thought it would blow over quickly. If not his involvement will backfire in a big way because iris such an obvious case of self defense and the fang dripping lynch mob looks uglier every day.

“further why didn’t he just go home? He was not far from there”

Exactly and when you listen to Zimmermans 911 call you hear just how long a period of time passes after Zimmerman says Martin “ran” and he had lost him, says he doesn’t want to say his home address out loud because “I don’t know where he’s at” and makes arrangements to meet the cops at the mailboxes.

TDC was the wild, wild, west. We went to Uijongbu and Itaewan a couple of times but found it too tame.

Key word “legally”.

Do you not think that the recently enacted NDAA plus plenty of regs laid down in FEMA regulations provide for plenty of leeway in terms of what I’ll call “reactive” power in the event of widespread civil unrest?

“Legally” is great, but in most circumstances it is always very much in arrears. In an era of twitter and facebook a widespread breakout of civil unrest is going to outrun the pace of whatever legal forces can be brought to bear. “Legal “ may have little or nothing to do with it.

I believe with Trayvon Martin we are seeing a potential “dry run”.

Personally I think this administration is dedicated to to the downfall of the nation. Gettting re-elected is important because from that position, obviously much greater power can be exerted and much greater destruction can be inflicted. But the nation’s downfall is a higher priority. I sincerely believe that if the 0bama regime sees itself being booted out of office, there is nothing at all it will not pull. And a dozen cities worth of “urban renewal” and a few hundred dead are nothing to them. It would not surprise me to see numerous race riots break out this summer. I don’t say this to be alarming or doomsaying or anything else. I think it’s a perfectly forseeable possibility.

Your post reminded me of a black associate I worked with who had a dream of owning her own business...and she finally opened a small shop in the community. As it grew she had the idea of opening another one in a nearby community and sought individuals who might invest with her in doing just that.

Long story short, an interested Investor was meeting her at her home and I was there just prior. She shared her ‘very real fear’ that once this “White” investor saw she was “black” he wouldn't go any further. More talking until I finally realized she had lost sight of how far she had come, with very little help from others, and she had already proved her capabilities and success and THAT is what she must stand on....not some idea which had plagued her from attempting to do this in the first place. etc. etc. You get the picture.

Well she forged ahead and opened another business with this Investors assistance. He wanted to be a silent partner from the financial aspect only. All decisions he would trust her with and did. And that business too succeeded very well.

I tell this because I don't believe many in the black community get encouragement amongst each other...aside from those who have already broken out of this mindset. And she shared that with me explaining there is a very real jealousy when a black person breaks away from the crowd....that they try to pull you back. And I also heard this from Hispanics as well.....

So there are very real race issues within the races themselves which they have to overcome as well as the preconceived ideas they are up against surviving prejudices in the white community............and they “think” that this is a race issue when in fact this problem also occurs within the white race.....it's just life and there will always be people pulling you back regardless of race ...that's why it takes “courage” in the face of fear to break away and do what your hearts desire is to do.

Your comment about the looting, outrage etc. makes sense....I see that with the students who go into stores in these groups and steal.....I suspect they figure they are “owed” that or that “they'll get theirs one way or another”.

I have a few black friends....and just for clarity...also a “few” white friends....who I have oftentimes spoken with on how they broke away from this mindset. They shared they simply saw their dream and determined no matter what the obstacle or set backs they were going to get where they wanted to go.....perseverance... says that best which is never bound by race or color!

I’ve never been in the military and I have zero basis for making any kind of statement as to what the rank and file military man would do or not do. If you have military experience or exposure, I’m in no way trying to negate that experience.

That said, there are plenty of Nat’l Guard reserve units available, and maybe I am incorrectly assuming that. Maybe half of them would disobey orders to put down a civilian “diturbance” but far fewer would disobey orders to put down an out of control race riot in a Detroit or a Newark or a Camden or an Oakland. Sure, there are plenty of folks who are armed. I think the claims as to how many of them would fire upon a squad of Nat’l Guard soldiers are overestimated, as well.

I am not predicting how this would turn out. I am only saying that there is a period after early November and January 20, 2013 when a booted-out admin is very much in control of things. If it’s chaos they want, I believe they would unleash it if they felt it would serve their aims.

Where I live in the country, black and white and mexican people get along perfectly fine every single day. We hold doors open for each other, get cans off the top shelves for the shorties, say “please” and “thank you” and “have a great day” We even attend the same schools and churches.

I hate that evil self serving men like Al and Jesse and Spike are allowed sooooo much publicity to poison communities with their hate and racism.

Someone should organize a unity march or create a unity T-shirt. All colors of people fed up with being divided and controled for stinking politics!

“white privilege”

******

Second time I’ve read this phrase in the past few years...first time came after reading responses to “The Help”. Deserves a thread of its own, really. I am convinced that it’s “black privilege” that has created the racial divides but few blacks will ever admit that they are part of the problem, no matter their education, financial status nor societal standing.

Why? Do they not know there are other options or are they truly that hateful to continually use and abuse the black population, and the poor, in order to elevate themselves

I'd have to say that the "why" is explained in the Bible. From Genesis 3, to Romans 1, 3, 5, Psalm 14, and throughout. Man, by nature, is evil. We are a fallen race, whose first parents were deceived by Satan - the god of this world who has blinded those that believe not. So man, without Christ, is governed by his lusts, pride, and ego. The ends justify the means. I am sure these people can rationalize whipping up hatred with the end being that they gain more power to enable them to do "good stuff". We certainly should call them out on these points, and oppose them, but we need to remember our battle isn't with them.

Ephesians 6:12-13
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

I served in Army intelligence from 1978 to 1983 and then as a civilian for about 10 years. Any president has great power, but it’s getting everybody to go along with your agenda in a martial law situation that’s tricky. I think FDR, Truman, Ike, JFK, Nixon and Reagan wouldn’t have had a big problem. Many of the others would’ve, to varying degrees. I don’t think Mr. Obama has a prayer of getting the majority of the military and law enforcement to do his will if it means attacking suburban or rural civilians.

You're right I had forgottene about that....there are so many things this administration is doing to hurt this country that it's sometimes difficult remaining on top of it all....and I think most of us want to... but there is the "Push" I think to overload the plate so you can't see it all as it's happening. It's almost like "push" all of it thru as fast as possible and some of it will stick...is the agenda.

When you mentioned in your post the Martin issue being a "dry run"...it sent a chill. I had considered that... for Obama could see what the "turnout" might be....and at least double it when push comes to shove. But I was thinking that only from the aspect of the election votes...not of civil unrest.

I agree about the re-election, there will be no constraints on what the administration will do then. And it's frightening to think about..... Actually until Obama's "mic" slip up I thought whatever might happen we as a nation could handle it....but now I'm very much begrudgingly considering I may just have to vote Romney if this primary doesn't go to convention....just to make certain Obama doesn't carry out his Russian plans and disarm our country. But I also heard that the Russian slip up is what the Democrates are hoping will get people to unite behind Romney.....so it just seems no matter which way we turn somebody is playing us all!

If I have to vote Romney I won't be holding my nose this time...I'll be bawling every step of the way....and with the heaviest heart on the face of this earth. Yet I still have hope God will enter into the affairs of men and maybe give this nation one more chance....at the convention.

Race riots over the summer?...it sure looks like it's heading that direction...Sharptons planning on going to Sanford over Easter with a mass of people to Quote 'Pray that Zimmerman will be arrested". ....He may be met with resistance and it might not be from the "white" population.

OWS is now Obamas "on call" lackeys as well. What a mess we're headed for....may God have mercy.

If a kid was rushing toward him, I do not believe he was reaching for a cell phone. Anyone would have reached for a gun.

Kid wasn't rushing at him, they were standing talking when TM hit Zimmerman in the face and then jumped on him. It has all been well documented.

Again, I can’t comment from any kind of military experience. I’m just...imagining.

We are in a different world than ~~1980. We have an all volunteer military now, and if the upper and middle levels of such a military were to impose a threat of having whatever the lower ranks are in the military for destroyed, revoked, with the threat of imprisonment or trial should they disobey orders, I believe good numbers of soldiers would comply with whatever was ordered. All of them? No. Half of them? Maybe. Very few of those who didn’t follow orders would not, I would posit, actively oppose an internal force ordered to “maintain civilian order” and they wouldn’t have their issued weapons to do so.

If the stage is set with massive tension built up with spontaneous and widespread urban unrest, I don’t think there’s a lot that we can predict about how such a situation might unfurl. I agree that compliance by the military for whatever this admin might come up with could be sketchy, but half the population thinks the country is set up against them and that the country owes them something. There could be a dramatic shift of mood where vast swaths of the population, under conditions of this admin getting booted, might well feel like their window of opportunity is suddenly slamming shut on them and that they might have much to lose.

Brava! You speak for fully 90% of the country, if not more. Democrats are nothing but race-baiting liars. And Blacks are absolute idiots for following these historically verified, politically driven, and utterly conscienceless slave-makers.

“Race riots over the summer?...it sure looks like it’s heading that direction.”

The good news is that the human brain always looks at a trend while it is in progress and thinks it will go on “forever”. You know, stocks go up forever, house prices rise forever. So if you and I think this trend festers and ultimately erupts into widespread urban unrest over the summer....we’re probably wrong.

The bad news is that is many ways I think this admin likes what it sees and isn’t especially interested in stopping it nor working to alleviate it.
