They’ve got a flag now?
Is there a specific etiquette as to how one is supposed to salute the gay flag?
Never mind, lol, I probably don’t want to know...
Surely this kind of thing; that is the whole gay friendly mandate as well as the gradual but insidious suppression of religious expression; has to affect recruitment. I’m thinking the former more than the latter. Anything on that?
Where’s a rogue Afghan soldier when you need one?
Why not just mutiny at this point?
This is just a mockery of the military. I almost want to laugh because it seems so unreal, but my mind knows it’s not, so I’m chilled.
1963 Communist Goals
26) Present homosexuality, degeneracy, and promiscuity as “normal, natural, and healthy.”
27) Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with “social” religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity, which does not need a “religious crutch.”
If the Cross was flown over a worship tent...for what sort of activities might one go into a tent marked by a rainbow flag?
Please tell me this is a sick joke.
Regrettable ping.
Actually, displaying the gay flag makes sense, given the ROE the forces work under.
The troops are allowed to shoot back if attacked, after all, and the Tallies are not terribly tolerant of homosexual behavior.
Need I add the sarc tag?
As far as removing the cross goes, I am not happy about it, but I doubt strongly it was done to placate liberal atheists. When I was based in Germany, we had a couple of platoons of IDF stay for a few weeks, and the chapel removed it’s cross then too, to make them more comfortable in using it.
Far more likely that the camp is getting a draft of Afghan soldiers in for training and joint ops. Since the chapel, as all front line military chapels are, is strictly non-denominational, it is a place for everyone to be near to God. Not just Christians, though the chaplain is nearly always a Christian (Most often Catholic).
As always, a shout out to the USA for providing chaplains, and to those brave and steady men who get close to the front armed only with a Book.
Doesn’t this violate some basic uniform standards?
Nice work, Gates. /s
Wish I could say that this would be rectified if Obama is out of office, but it won’t if Romney gets in.
Bump
No Shiite?
You know it is getting bad when Westboro Baptist Church start to look correct.
Is this Camp Butfok?
Might as well fly a white flag if you’re flying that thing.
Ever since the military was forced to welcome open homosexuality, I have strongly recommended young members in my circle of friends, family and church to avoid it.
Having served a 28-year career in the Air Force, the natural inclination is to help encounge young men and women to serve their country in uniform. But I can`t in good conscience do that anymore.
Heartbreaking ... and tears for our nation.
