At this point in time, I fear the police much more than I fear the criminal element. I suppose that may be in part that from the police viewpoint, everyone but them s a criminal. They divide them into tow groups: Those that have been arrested and those that haven’t yet been arrested.

I am with you on fearing cops more than criminals. Been attacked for saying it here on FR, but it is how I feel. I no longer trust any of them.

You are so right. My ex brother-in-law was a cop in Amarillo in the 70’s. He quit because he realized he had come to believe there were two groups of people - cops and their families and perps. Asked him which I was. He said I was a perp, I only hadn’t been caught (I am not a law breaker, except I speed a little like everyone else, especially cops). He socialized with cops, and everyone he had contact with was breaking some law. Actually showed me his throw-down gun, wrapped in plastic wrap. Said all the cops carried one. My sister said she never had to worry about a ticket. Yes, I have a bad view of city cops. Highway patrol and county sheriffs I know are all right. I am sure most city cops are okay, but a lot of them are thugs and criminals.
