The jury that saw the whole tape cleared the cops, so the government had to over-ride the verdict with “civil rights violations”. I’ve been pointing out to my young children how commercials make men look stupid, then remind them that the television was made by a man, etc.

Thank you for bringing this up. I remember them constantly looping the worst moments of the beating segment completely out of context, ignoring all that preceded it.
Until they got what they wanted, a full blown race riot and double jeopardy for the cops involved. TWO really juicy stories to sensationalize!
