Critics say the "Today" show attempted to incite racial anger when it cut crucial seconds from audio of a phone call placed by George Zimmerman just before he killed the teenager.
In Interview With Piers Morgan, George Zimmerman's NBC News is being excoriated in some circles with competitor Fox News Channel leading the charge for selectively editing audio of the 911 call placed by George Zimmerman just before he killed Trayvon Martin.
The NBC segment in question featured anchor Ron Allen and ran on the Today show on Tuesday. On Thursday, Sean Hannity and guest Brent Bozell played the NBC version of the 911 call and compared it with the unedited version.
In the NBC segment, Zimmerman says: This guy looks like hes up to no good. He looks black.
The full version, though, unfolds like this:
Zimmerman: This guy looks like hes up to no good, or hes on drugs or something. Its raining and hes just walking around, looking about.
911 operator: Okay. And this guy, is he white black or Hispanic?
Zimmerman: He looks black.
After playing both versions, Hannity said: They forgot the dispatchers question! How could NBC, in good conscience, do that?
This isnt bias, this isnt distortion, this is an all-out falsehood by NBC News, answers Bozell, who runs a conservative watchdog group called the Media Research Center.

I take care of her as she only has one leg and can not get around on her own.
They’re not even making much of an effort to hide their bias. It’s as if the Liberal Media want George Zimmerman dead. This is going to get much uglier before it gets any better.
It was so obvious from the beginning that the MSM was given their marching orders to perform a lynching from the beginning.
Amazing, even for NBC.
Yes, very.
Anyone that thinks these people can be embarrassed is delusional.
Good for you taking care of her. Just let her know that the media she watches attempts to steer her assumptions away from her own good judgment.

I’ve made this point before -
Expert more and worse.
The Leftist media is 100% behind Obama. They have realized - they can’t lose any more credibility with rational people - who already know they are biased pond scum - so will ust go balls out for Obama for the next 8 months.
The irrational viewers - don’t penalize the media for idiocy - they just don’t. So - with no penalty - and nothing to lose- media going full speed ahead.
This is nothing. by August, they will be falsifying data.
Here is another one of the most disgraceful examples of an NBC smear job ever aired.
Absolutely beyond belief:
The Liberal Media has already gone as low as anyone thought it could. Now it’s brought out a shovel.
NBC - the network that once had the dignity of Tim Russert - now a lying racebaiting rabble rousering ....
NBC - the network that once had the dignity of Tim Russert - now a lying racebaiting rabble rousers ....
Nothing like riots, burning cities and bodies in the streets to bring a little excitement to the news room and a boost to the ratings.
I analyze, and conclude. Sometimes I take a long time to understand - but then I do.
When I conclude, I don’t say “maybe” or “this makes me feel ...”.
Watch - it is going to make you sick. 2008 was nothing compared to what you are going to see.
I don’t know when I concluded - maybe thinking about the possibility that Obama will serve an entire term as president without ever passing a budget - and the media - for the most part - is silent. And this - during a financial crisis - (not just continueing balanced budgets). Just think about that -
“Video Killed the Radio Star” - the song in the video - was the first video played on MTV.

I can empathize with your mom’s connection to NBC. I trusted NBC for years. Started out as a college student watching Brokaw and Pauley on Today; then went on to believe everything they told me over 30 years of evening newscasts.
Never again. Never, ever, ever, ever again.
I’d forgot that one thanks for posting.
