....Don’t Newt’s new found serenity AND his effort in Wisconsin point to a secret deal between him and Mitt?

I seriously doubt that. Mitt must be looking over his shoulder at the two candidates that he and his PAC has spent $40 Million maligning -- worried that they form an alliance going into the convention.

Conventional GOP "wisdom" ala Clinton pal Dick Morris yesterday on Hannity is --- Sanatorum scared all the GOP women moderates into Obama's arms and that Mitt has wooed them back and is now their "savior"; that Rick will lose all the upcoming elections [inc PA] and that he must drop out before his loss in PA to look gracious and to remain relevant in the party. Isn't that special?

............ “Now, the former House speaker is trying to figure a way around RNC rules that require a candidate to place first in at least five states during the primary process in order for that candidate’s name to be placed into nomination at the party convention.

Gingrich has won only two states so far — South Carolina and Georgia. But his campaign may seek to make the case that the rule refers to the delegate race, not the popular vote, and then try to win the backing of a plurality of delegates in at least five states before the convention convenes in August.”

Plus this: There are lots of people betting on, including me, that Santorum won't be able to withstand the continuing and escalating GOP establishment push via endorsements, backrooms, gop-affiliated entities endorsing romney... That it is quite possible rick will fold and take a promise that he will have a kingmaker place in the party if he does "the right thing" and next time will be his turn... this is what I am watching for...
