Jackson spent 2 1/2yrs at Chicago Theological Seminary and then left and worked in the civil rights movement.
In 2000, the seminary gave him his Master’s degree in divinity, saying that he’d earned it because of all the work he’d done in his life.

Chicago Theological Seminary didn't do its job. All Masters Degree Candidate normally have to complete a Masters Thesis ans then defend it before a panel, and if deemed acceptable by the panel only then is the Masters Degree granted. Not for “Community activist work.”

Then... Community activist work is the Chicago way to get your street creds.
