The "Today" show version made shooter George Zimmerman appear to be engaged in racial profiling.
NBC News said Saturday it is investigating why its Today show broadcast an edited version of the 911 call placed by George Zimmerman the night he shot and killed Florida teenager Trayvon Martin.
Both Today and MSNBC have broadcast an edited version of the call, which makes Zimmerman sound as if he were engaged in racial profiling.
"We have launched an internal investigation into the editorial process surrounding this particular story," a spokeswoman for Today told THR Saturday.
Last week, Today aired a segment that included Zimmerman's call as follows: "This guy looks like he’s up to no good. He looks black."
Today didn't inform its audience it had edited out the middle of the 911 call, which in reality went like this:
Zimmerman: "This guy looks like he’s up to no good, or he’s on drugs or something. It’s raining and he’s just walking around, looking about."
911 operator: "Okay. And this guy, is he white black or Hispanic?"
Zimmerman: "He looks black."

Hmmm... I originally heard the proper, unedited version of the beginning of the call. Of course, I don’t usually watch “Today” or the other morning shows, for that matter. They’re too dippy, too liberal, or both. Weekend “Fox & Friends” can be OK.
Wow! It’s really hard to believe that NBC and MSNBC would try to deceive their viewers to fit their agenda. (sarcasm)

The No. Vietnamese and VC had American operatives working for them both inside SO. Vietnam and in the U.S., including Cora Weiss’ COLIFAM, some of the turncoat POWS in the Hanoi Hilton, and in groups like the American Friends Service Committee (and even after the war inside refugee camps. I got this straight from Military Intelligence officers when I visited one of these camps while on official business from a refugee aid organization I worked for).
There is a lot more to the role of the Hanoi Lobby in spreading misinformation and disinformation that will be coming out in the future.
It will be justified because all journalists understand “Agenda Uber Alles”.

The geometrically closest 7-11’s are about a mile away, but are on the other side of a major divided highway just to the north of the “Retreat at Twin Lakes”. There are walking routes to them, but they are rather intimidating, in my estimation. The most plausible “7-11” as I see it is the Upsala Grocery, about 3/4 mile due east of the “Retreat”, although the walking path takes you down Oregon to the Parkway, and north on Upsala Road, for a distance of about 1 1/2 miles. To my mind, any of these routes raises questions about a kid casually bopping down to the corner store in the rain.
Sounds like Ohbamma and Holder, we will find out what happened while they are the ones that planned it..

This year’s winner of “Dan Rather Fake but Accurate Award”! Thank goodness for the Internet. I shudder to imagine how much cr@p we’ve been fed unknowingly over the years. I’m sure NBC believes Zimmerman is a white supremist, even if he is in fact neither. As we learned from Dan, the left wing media will never let the facts get in the way of telling us what we are supposed to believe.
“Internal investigation”: that’s code for “we’re going into damage-control mode”. There’s nothing to investigate when everybody at the top already knows what happened because they’re the ones that orchestrated it.

Thanks for the information. What type of neighborhood or should I word it: why the need for a gate on a community with homes between 70-100,000 value?
It’s part of a larger complex which includes 5 distinct developments, each done in a particular style. One of them has rather large houses. It looks like they were all set up with gates, and you can see some of them still there, but I don’t know whether they are actually maintained as a security system, which requires some kind of full time staff, I assume. From Google Street View, it looks like one of the gates at the “Retreat” is left closed, and the main entrance is left open. Just guessing.
Florida was hard hit by the housing collapse, and I wonder what kind of internal and external stresses, such as high vacancy rates perhaps, these communities came under. The indication seems to be that GZ was trying to “hold the line”. I’m sure it’s a long story.
