Howdy everyone!! It's time for our 2nd quarter FReepathon!!

As you all know, we're planning on beefing up our system before the elections and we're anticipating it will cost approximately $12,000 to purchase the new equipment, memory and disk that John's recommending. We raised half of that amount in addition to our operating expenses last quarter and are hoping to raise the other half this quarter. Hope to have it all installed and working before the election cycle heats up.

No matter who wins the nomination or the election, we're going to need FR more than ever to hold their feet to the fire. We're hoping for the tea party rebellion of 2010 to continue in November. It's unlikely that we're going to have a conservative in the Presidency, but if we can continue taking state governments, build on our majority in the House and retake the Senate we may be able to make some headway. We must repeal ObamaCare and roll back the unconstitutional Marxist central government!! We must return the power to the states and the people!!

We are the resistance!!

It is a recent thing that I can exercise at all. After my heart surgery (catheter, not open heart), every time I tried
to exercise again, I'd get tachycardia and have to lie down on the floor until the damn thing slowed down again.

It has been literally years, but I kept trying and trying. Finally, a couple of weeks ago, I was able to do it again,
and I've been exercising and walking on my treadmill ever since.

I haven't spiked my heart yet, but I will try it in another few weeks.

I wear a chest strap that reads my heart rate, and I keep it at 125-130. I've worked up to 40 minutes, and I'm
going to gradually increase to an hour a day.

Once Hubby and I go hiking again, I can get back into my "fat but fit" state.

I'm pleased as punch and feel much better already.

TOL, that’s more than wonderful and healthy! I’m so happy that you said you’re already feeling better too. I have a treadmill here at home, that I never use, but I like all the equipment at the Y.

We have essentially a gym in the basement. Two treadmills, a slant board, a full set of free weights, wrist and ankle weights, floor pads, etc.

It was depressing and frustrating not to be able to use them, but things can get better, even at my age, LOL!
