Is Profiling Racist, or Does Not Profiling Make You Ignorant?
American Thinker ^ | 04/02/2012 | Kevin Jackson

Since when is something we do every day taboo, like profiling? Every American who can think, profiles. If you are looking for a mate, you profile. In fact, if you search for a mate on line, the first thing you do is establish a profile. You profile yourself!

When you fill out a resume to look for a job, your resume is a profile. When you show up for the interview, you are being profiled by your potential employer. You beginning to get the picture?

The doorman at a trendy bar profiles, and you won't see anybody getting into one of New York's or LA's trendy clubs who dresses like they are from the chess club. Those same doormen reject anybody wearing hoodies too.

Profiles are based on statistics -- the propensity of certain demographics to do certain things. So for example, if you're black, know that you have a 93 percent chance that the person who commits a heinous crime against you will be black, hoodie or no hoodie. That's not the fault of statistics, those are the facts, and the facts are the fault of black thugs.

Anybody remember Georgia teenager Bobby Tillman, who was stomped, kicked and punched to death by four young men, for no apparent reason or the case of Derrion Albert, a Chicago honor student stomped to death by a group of his peers?

But don't expect the race-baiting blacks to sound any alarm bells.

If a black person saw a bunch of guys in white sheets and pointed hoods walking through their neighborhood, do you think they’d profile?

I remember a poll like 90% of blacks after 9/11 supported racial profiling ... Of Arabs.

But when it’s blacks, who commit a disproportional amount of crime, they cry racism.

Pat Buchanan did an article on this last week that broke down the statistics. 94% of perps in black murders are other blacks. 45% of white murder victims are killed by blacks.

But all this = facts and reason. Nothing to do with activating a political base based on lies and deception.

Either you are street smart or you are dead. You might get a nice burial and some noble words spoken over your corpse, but that is about it.

Israeli airport security profile you and they keep their airport safe at a fraction of the cost we spend on expensive equipment and union workers.

The obvious answer is yes, we are ignorant for not profiling.

Responsible black people profile like everyone else, and from my experience, their profiling is exactly the same, per who is trustworthy/dangerous and who isn't.

Jesse Jackson actually admitted to it years back, before realizing that the truth was not going to get him a meal ticket.

Profiling is generalization; a form of abstraction.

Abstraction is a basic mode of intelligent behavior.

“Profiling” is a word the Left uses to try and PC you to death and picture you as a “bad person”. It is totally ridiculous but people buy in on it.

.
It is not a matter of ignorance but of the white man’s guilt complex, political correctness and fear of being branded a racist.

But in the case of a perceived white on black crime, all rules are changed.

Kevin Jackson, a Black conservative, did a very good job on this piece.

What happens when the profile keeps becoming a good consistent description?

Another example of libs hijacking the language. Most law enforcers don’t “racially” profile. They create CRIMINAL profiles that included race when race is a an element of the profile.

It’s really that simple.

As I remember reading here on FR - PROFILING is why there are no lions, bears, cougars and tigers in MOST petting zoos!

Because after a few maulings and deaths, I bet someone profiled those creatures and realized that they eat MEAT! The especially eat the meat of young, naive species who cannot protect themselves from ferocious attacks! Uh, DUH!?!?!?!?

I’m sorry but if the eye witnesses say it was a white guy who did whatever would it make sense to stop all of the blacks? No it would’t so if a crime is committed by X,Y, or Z why would they stop S? I do not condor it racial profiling when someone notices someone strange in their neighborhood no matter their color.
