As my friend suggested, I should have left it at: FDR.. Does anyone know if the first Roosevelt had a middle name, been researching but come up empty?

Middle names did not become a universal practice in America until after the Civil War. Up until that time, it was common to not have a middle name. In fact, Abraham Lincoln did not have a middle name.

Theodore Roosevelt was born in 1858.
