If the governments-most of whom are 20th century Social Welfare states-were of any use to anybody other than the bureaucrats running them-they’d be in the black. All of ‘em.

the fact they are ALL in the red, tells you are utterly useless these entities are..

BTW ..their problems, from their perspective, are always “solvable” with more better regulation and taxation....just like the boozer...who just needs another drink to fix his life....

Shouldn’t this start with federal employees?
Should they not get unpaid taxes deducted from paychecks?

Extremely good point. All federal employees should be intensely audited every year. If he/she owes a dime, he she/should return that dime before getting a dime of my money.

But as far as federal REGULATED transactions, the government can take a leap, so long as taxpayer $$ are not at risk.
