Authorities say an English teacher in Gaston County was arrested after she gave prescription drugs to a student to sell and they split the money.
Investigators said Meredith Burris Pruitt, 31, faces several drug charges.
Authorities say Pruitt gave a student four anti-anxiety pills to a 15-year-old student, who sold them to other students and brought some of the money back to Pruitt.

We seem to have an increase in sociopathic behavior throughout our society that exceeds the increased news coverage. I have noticed more of it in the last two years after almost two decades in law enforcement. It’s conjuncture based on personal experience, but my peers have noticed it too. I have never seen so many people, with no prior history, doing everything from stupid theft to 1st degree murder with no thought of the consequences and no conscience.
Your typical criminal would not be this stupid!
We’ve got classy people teaching our kids. The teachers’ unions are doing a great job!
