Fox News & CNN are projecting Romney wins MD in their banners.
Santorum wasn't on the DC ballot.
Wisconsin polls close at 8pm CDT/9pm EDT.
Thanks for the thread, been looking.
Is WI having the recall election today (Gov Walker)? I am really interested in that
I believe the recall election is to be held in May.
The Recall is June 5th.
Well, what does everyone think? Has Rick got a chance in WI or not?
There are Republicans in Washington, D.C.? Since when? What’s his/her name?
The closest race in Maryland seems to be between Gingrich and Paul to determine who’ll finish 4th....... That may change as more results are reported.

Why do we give them 19 delegates? I mean, I can understand throwing them a bone and giving them 6, but 19 is just plain ridiculous when the GOP candidate can’t break 20% in an awesome year. They make Hawaii look competitive.
The republican party is half past dead and if we don’t get a blood transfusion ASAP, it’s over. romney will never beat oscumma in a million years. This is sickening.
Nope. It’s over.
44% Romney, 37% Santorum is my best guess.
Romney is projected to have 1,270 delegates based on the remaining contests. With over a 100+ probably delegate cushion, a brokered convention is all but out of the question.
Wisconsin Primary Live Thread ping
FReep Mail me if you want on, or off, this Wisconsin interest ping list.

No chance. Santorum guys got too cocky.
The recall Primary is in May and the Recall is June 5.
I won’t be able to check in much tonight, but wanted to say that, win or lose, I’m proud of Rick and it has been a distinct privilege to support him.
When he made noises in the summer of 2010 that he might run, I publicly declared my support for him. When he officially announced in the summer of 2011, I started donating to him. As soon as a bumper sticker was available on eBay (late summer 2011) I put it on my car.
I decided not to hold my nose this election cycle. Win or lose, I believe that my donations to Rick have been well worth it to get his message out if only for a little while longer.
As a social conservative, I won’t vote for Obama or Romney in November. If Rick (or Newt) doesn’t win the nomination, I will be looking at third party this year, and Santorum 2016 (or Pence 2016; or whatever good conservative runs 2016).
Thank you, Rick, for fighting in the arena, and being a voice for millions of us in the Heartland.
The only chance Santorum has, is if the Democrats show up in large enough numbers to Prank the vote, like they did in Michigan, Alabama and Mississippi.
But in Maryland today, the big endorsements from Ryan, and company had a major impact. Almost 65% of the exit polls of the voters who remained undecided until the 3 days prior to the election, said they voted Romney because of those endorsements.
Romney also bead Santorum among Evangelicals, and tied 40/40 among those who called them selves extremely Conservative.
It appears like the electorate is starting to take a stand and make a solid choice to defeat Obama. They almost unanimously said that it is now more important to get behind a candidate soon, and to not delay or hinder the nomination. It is far more important to vote Obama out of office. ABO!, is the new battle cry.
CNN has called Maryland for Romney
53% to 27%- Romney/Santorum with 9% reporting.
By virtue of these Romney wins (and probable eventual Republican nomination), the GOP is giving Obama his second term on a silver platter. Everyone I talk to sees it the same way. Romney is NOT anyone's first choice and people are disillusioned with the apparent John McCaining of conservatives for the second time in a row. This is republican party suicide and everyone can see it except the elites who are forcing this candidate down our throats. May God help America out of this potential disaster.
Not a surprise.
In further Maryland humiliation, Our Governor, Lil’Marty, showed up today on The Ed Show, trashing the Ryan budget.
He thinks he is the white Obama - complete with the arrogance.
Baramitt Obamaromney - that’s the ballot in November.
But, but, but not voting for Mitt is like voting for Obama. How many times have you heard that?
P.S.
(I'm not voting for the "RINO sonofabitch" either)
Why do I get the feeling that's what you wanted all along. So what's your real name, Rove?
I voted for Newt also.
I don’t trust Romney and I despise Santorum.
The primary system needs a dramatic overhaul, but I believe we are out of time.
Maryland has a closed primary. So, the “against Obama” vote would be for who? I was unaware that Obama faces any kind of competition here.
Trivia question: Barry Goldwater actually managed to get 14.5% of the DC vote in 1964. Who was the last Republican presidential candidate to exceed this total? Who was the last to crack 10%?
Get ready for him and Andrew Cuomo to duke it out in 2016. That is, if Obama hasn’t declared himself a dictator by then.
I don’t give a damn what you think. The problem with your side is, you were warned that supporting Santorum would guarantee a Romney win. Well, guess what?..............We all lose.
Obama - Romney: there is little to no difference in the evil they will do. Thankfully, if McRomney needs my vote here in Tennessee, he has already lost. I will just have to vote in the House and Senate and hope they can check Obama, as they would not oppose a president of the same party.
Ditto!
It’s high time for a third party, but the GOP talking heads in the news media will do their darndest to keep party-line Republicans in line with their usual talking points and scare tactics.
“Let’s change the GOP from within!”
Riiight. It’s not like the establishment holds the reins of power or anything.
“But a third party will never win!”
Romney will never win, either, but we’re supposed to vote for him.
“But a third party will split the vote!”
Good! It’s time for the Republicans to go the way of the Whigs. What did caving to the establishment get us in ‘08? What did it get us in ‘12? Will 2016 be any different?
IN, NC, WV are all on May 8th. If Rick could take his home state it might be worth it to hang in til the 8th. Could recapture momentum.
The big secret is that it’s not really over and Romney’s not yet the nominee.
Then it is time for Romney to get out of the race. He can’t win.
ABO is what its always been about....we just had a bunch of anybodies
As a social conservative, I wont vote for Obama or Romney in November. If Rick (or Newt) doesnt win the nomination, I will be looking at third party this year, and Santorum 2016 (or Pence 2016; or whatever good conservative runs 2016)."
I've been wanting to ask this, and waiting for such a straightforward genial and non-acerbic show of support for Santorum such as yours...what if, at the GOP convention, Santorum comes out and endorses Mittens again? Much in the way of what he told Laura Ingraham in 2008? Would that change your mind about November?
"Santorum told Ingraham that Romney is "a guy who has gone through that pressure cooker, who has developed a passion, who understands why he's a conservative and understands the issues, how they weave together."Santorum added that conservatives are "about traditional values and a traditional way of American life" and that Mitt Romney "understands that, it's not just in his head anymore, it's in his heart."
This year Santorum, a presidential candidate and Romney rival, has said his 2008 endorsement was motivated more by politics than conservative beliefs.
"I made, I hate to say it, a calculated political decision that Romney was the stronger horse and had a better chance to win Super Tuesday with the resources he had," Santorum said. "I like him. The time I spent with him, he was a gentleman. He's very sincere."
Yes, Americans have taken such a decisive stand that voter turnout is in the toilet yet again.
Your golden boy Romney has destroyed voter enthusiasm with his scorched earth campaign strategy. You and your establishment friends have doomed us to 4 more years of Obummer.
I’m sure that you will be more content with a Romney Presidency than I will. By the way, I checked the articles that you posted during the month of March. Of 23 articles posted, at least 15 were articles that presented Rick Santorum in a less than favorable light.
How many articles during that time did you post that were anti-Romney?
None.
I think that February was even worse.
I hope that you enjoy your Romneygasm.
WTF? There’s hope!
Santorum winning Dane County (Madison) early?
Early, but any lead with 5% in means it won’t be a blowout at least in that suburb.

He actually sucks eggs.
He has higher ambitions, don’tcha know — either President in 2016, or maybe V.P. in 2012, if Obamao chucks Biden under the bus.
I voted for Santorum, but there were only two delegates on the ballot for him, so I rounded it out by voting for a friend who is a Paul-designated delegate. There were no Santorum alternates, so I picked Paul alternates. I think I would have voted for Paul himself, were it not for his idiocy in accepting donations from white racists. (So why did I vote for some of his delegates, you ask? Again, he would have been my first choice if he had even so much as returned those donations.)
Maryland “Freak State” PING!
I am very similar to you, except I was more pessimistic on Santorum. Also I confess, I might vote for Romney in November (assuming he is the nominee).
But I might leave my Presidential ballot blank too. If Romney becomes President, he almost certainly is the nominee again in 2016! Urgh!!
At least it is tied with 2% of the vote in.
Strike a nerve did I? Fact is people like you trashing the last guy who could stop Romney, you got us here. Thanks!
Uncommitted To Any Presidential Candidate, and it's polling as high as 22% in MA-1.
