You suspend your campaign or lose the nomination.

The IL contingency went with Santorum. If you think Newt will win the nomination I think you are deluded. He is bankrupt, confused, didn't bother competing except in the south where he was hammered, besides GA and SC.

Now I originally supported Newt especially after his strong debate performances and I was extremely excited after his win in South Carolina.

When he flatlinned I had to vote for Rick Santorum If you don't like that and want me banned, you'd have to ban every FReeper from Illinois, because we all went with Santorum. Read our board if you don't believe me.

I have a Master's Degree, and a BA in History focused on US Politcs and NEVER has a candidate finished last in nearly every primary come back and won!

Romney is more than half way to winning and we still haven't seen Texas, New York or California vote. I thought Illinois would vote for Rick, my hell hole state voted overwhelmingly for Mittens. The die hard right wing states have voted! They went with Rick Santorum. The moderate / lib states are going for Mittens. Newt won GA which he should have and SC after an amazing debate, but then the debates ended.

Texas will be closer but will go to Mitt, CA and NY will go to Mitt by 20% or more.

Now if you still legitimately believe Newt Gingrich is the nominee, please share some of the drugs you are taking, I really could use it right now as I blew out my shoulder.

I don't like it more than you. I got yelled at by an Admin_Moderator for going pissy after Mittens won Illinois when I worked my ass off. But I'm not going to live in a state of delusion. People who live like that usually hang themselves with piano wire...

As long as Newt is out there taking his message to Americans, he is one more patriot telling America why they should not reelect Zer0. As Santorum said, this is just the half time. There is half of America that needs to be reached up front and in person to consider America’s future and how Zer0 should have zero part of it.

But I'm not going to live in a state of delusion.

Why do you think that the establishment gave us McCain and then Romney going up against a known socialist in two elections in a row?

I'm not going to be deluded into thinking that it just happened that way.

Houeto, you have the blessing of living in Texas, the folks that I pinged have suffered our lives under Illinois politics.

Simply put there is a thing in Illinois known as the "Combine". It is made up by establishment Dems and Republicans. It is why Mike Madigan has been IL Speaker since Zeus walked the Planet, it is why Obama trounced to victory in 2004 when he had a legit opponent named Jack Ryan, it is why Bill Brady was thrown down the stairs to give the Governorship to Pat Quinn Lt. Gov under now jailed Blagojavech!

How do we know it was stolen? Every Republican candidate and tea party candidate won big time, Mark Kirk beat Barack Obama's basketball buddy Alexi Gianullious for the Senate. Judy Biggert, Peter Roskam, Joe Walsh, Adam Lipinsk won with HUGE margins in the suburbs.

So we know how awful it is to fight the establishment.

The Combine wanted former IL GOP Chairman Andy McKenna to win the GOP Primary for Governor in 2010. Conservatives came out in droves and voted for downstate conservative Bill Brady who won. The Combine was shocked, they did not want him to win and due to vote fraud in Crook County some of which I have on video and I was working with the Brady and Kirk Campaigns on election day as well with FReeper BillyBoy. We saw fraud all over the suburbs and the city, and Brady was winning till suddenly like magic from a fairies Pat Quinn got a ton of votes from seemingly no where!

When I say I'm not delusional that is because I'm dealing with logic. Trust me, I did not read all those books in undergrad and grad for fun. No one in history has come back from this margin.

I will right now bet you my life savings that Newt Gingrich will not be the nominee in Tampa. If you really think Newt has it you lose nothing.

I'm a realist living in a dem dominated state. 2 Governors in a row are in prison, if you really think Newt will be the nominee after tonight, I really would like you to invest into my business since you sound as gullible as a 8 year old at an ice cream truck...

Santorum will lose either way. Newt has bigger fish to fry. He wants to ensure a bold, conservative platform.

Newt is NOT going to leave the race, thank God! These primaries and caucuses were the worst mess I’ve ever seen in my life, Iowa being an excellent example. Hopefully, Mr. Romney will be the one bowing out gracefully! Crossover voters helped Romney big time!

MY perception is that those who support romney are merely trying to associate with a supposed ‘winner’. They have failed to investigate their candidate and determine what policies will be supported (read continued) during an administration of which he is a figurehead. They either don't know or don't care about the ramifications of the election.

If this is the case, the U.S.A. is in fact doomed (if we're not already beyond the point of no return) either way the election goes.

Fortunately, my faith is in Jesus and the Lord's Will.

It is weird that he mentions this over and over again. People know he is in but he really isn’t getting anywhere. He got a few hundred votes yesterday in 3 states. Certainly not competitive. He is just going around kissing babies I guess.

Agreed. Who’s the Constitution party running these days?

The only possibility, other than the large headed displaced lib dud mittwit, is Santorum or a brokered convention.
Santorum would have to be doing A LOT better than he is so..

Go brokered convention!

Everyone keeps talking about the establishment giving us
Romney. Any republican who chose to do so could have entered the race. Some did, some didn’t. Some were voted out along the way. That’s how it works. I don’t understand why some people just dismiss the voters as though they weren’t even a factor in all this.

“designated loser”

A good description, and no doubt in my mind that is the GOP E`s intent... sacrifice the presidential race and hope to eke out a slim majority in the Senate.
