Burglar: “I just came to the wrong house, officer”
Policeman: “No problem, young man. We’ll just take you to the right house, we’ve got plenty of space. You’ll fit right in!”
Interesting. He is claiming that he thought he as breaking in to his OWN house. Even though there was a guy he did not know already inside the dwelling, pointing a gun at him and repeatedly yelling: “Go away! Don’t come in my house! I don’t want to have to shoot you!” (or words to the effect)?
He must have been really drunk AND monumentally stupid if that developing situation did not give him pause.
Well played!
Maybe they are practitioners of the ‘school’ of journalism known as “Stream of Unconsciousness”.
FIVE minutes??? What, it takes about 10 seconds to re-route the call.
WHEN SECONDS COUNT, THE POLICE ARE FIVE MINUTES AWAY.
You should have seen it before the editor performed his magic.
Wrong house, are you sure this wasn’t a hooded, dressed in black, SWAT team trying to enter? These guys get the address wrong a lot of times. Was the family dog shot?

I lived in rural N California for 12 + years. In the best of circumstances, it would have taken at least 10-15 minutes for a Sheriff’s deputy to get there.
Where I am now in ruralN Nevada, I would be happy if they got here in 10 minutes. Layoffs have our sheriff’s department thinned down dramatically.

Today’s journalist:
1. Intoxicated
2. Incompetent
3. Leftist
Perhaps they are leaving out that the perp meant to break into a house where an elderly person lived who would be an easy victim or some woman he intended to assault. There is something fishy about this.
