Israel has asked the United States for assistance estimated at $700 million in order to produce more Iron Dome and Magic Wand missile and rocket defense batteries, sources told Ynet on Wednesday. The Iron Dome is designed to intercept rockets fired from a relatively short range, while the Magic Wand intercepts missiles fired from a range of at least 70km, including cruise missiles and missiles with ballistic warheads such as the Squd, Shihab and Sejil. According to sources privy to the deal, Jerusalem and Washington are currently discussing the aid package, which if approved will allow Israel to equip its defense apparatus with four additional Iron Dome batteries and accelerate the completion of the Magic Wand system, which is still under development.

So this is the price for them not attacking Iran til after the election.
Easy solution. Wipe out once and for all the ones who keep on firing the rockets. It is a given and guarantee unless you do, there will be no peace and you will be coming back asking for more military aid. You want to bet ?
Sorry but we can’t afford it. Israel is going to have to pay their own bills from here on out.
“Sorry but we cant afford it. Israel is going to have to pay their own bills from here on out.”
I hope the United States says no. We have 15 trillion in debt. Once our debt is completely paid then we can start helping people again. This is like being 50 thousand in debt and giving a few thousand to a friend who needs money. SAY NO FOR GOD’S SAKE!!!!
Like it or not, they’re the front lines in our Muzziebattle.
We ignore this at our peril.
Obama already gave that check to his muzzy brothers.

Israel would probably be better off developing these systems without US aid and the traditional attached strings. Particularly Magic Wand which I expect would have great export potential,
Say Yes for our sake...
Agree. It’s essential we support our only true ally in the region. Take the billions we squander on their hateful neighbors.
Let the US use it for its own needs, like buying union support for Obama with more “shovel ready” projects. We (Israel) ought to pull out of this deal, designed to shore up support for The One, rather than help us. If he wins a second term, it’ll take more than a magic wand to undo the damage he’ll continue to do.
