You mean that there's no such thing as a 44mm semi-automatic revolver? I was saving up my pennies....

If sports reporters were as ignorant about their subjects or as sloppy as mainstream reporters, they would be fired instantly.
Baseball, Basketball, Bowling ball, who cares? They're all some sort of throwing-balls, right?

Did they have pistol grips and bayonet attachment points? Because I’d hate to get shot; but I’d really hate to get shot with a rifle that had a pistol grip and a bayonet attachment point.

"I'm uncomfortable departing from police descriptions."That is a valid point.
I won't hold my breath for law enforcement to start describing firearms -or anything else for that matter- in a more accurately benign fashion.

It seems the police are too which is where the misinformation started. The reporter was too lazy to investigate but the police were too ignorant to make a positive Id before spewing.

NBC recently demonstrated how the MSM behaves when the story can be used to score political points.

Same goes for police spokespersons.

Sloppy Irresponsible mainstream reporting on basic gun facts points to pervasive failure intentional propagandaAfter paying attention to LMM reporting on firearms since the early '80s it is impossible for me to believe their "mistakes" are anything but purposeful misinformation.
