A Marine facing dismissal for making statements critical of President Obama superimposed the presidents face on the picture of a jackass and sold Nobama stickers, according to Marine prosecutors.
An administrative separation hearing began Thursday for Sgt. Gary Stein, who could receive an other than honorable discharge for saying he would not follow orders and calling Obama a domestic enemy on his Armed Forces Tea Party Facebook page.

Maobama is detestable, but you're not allowed to do this type of stuff while serving.
Period.

I think that everyone that has served understands this. There’s a time to keep your mouth shut.
I would like to know how many of our military presonnel support Obama.

I love the thought but you can't do that. Undermines chain of command and just bad for morale.
You can b#tch to your buddies but out in public and up adn down the chain of command... bad mojo. Too bad, I hope he had made career plans for his dismissal. I wonder if he'll get education benefits in spite of "other than honorable" discharge. Poor bastard....

True. Not to mention, not appropriate to burden an ass with a face of Obama. Cruel and unusual.
I can say that now. But never in uniform. Almost chewed my tongue off during the Carter administration. ;)

Sorry that the young Marine does not know the UCMJ and military policy better. He is just plain out-of-order on this one.
Hopefully he can cut a deal, and change his tune.

My cousin serves at South korea, Red Cloud. He stated before Jarjar visited 2 weeks ago that 90% of the entire camp detest him. There’s a reason why you only saw 5 pics, more or less of him during the visit.

I would like to know how many of our military presonnel support Obama. Among enlisted, if I had to guess it would be less, but not greatly less than their civilian counterparts.
Among the officer corps, there is likely far less support - save for the Pentagon types who are often political appointments.
All that said, I don't belive the anti-Obama sentiment in the military is quite as high as many FReepers would like to think.

I don’t recall this marine putting homosexuals in the bed next to Obama’s as Obama did to the troops.

The defining of a President as a domestic enemy by anyone *known* to be a uniformed member of the Armed Forces shouldn’t be allowed even if the descrption is entirely accurate (as it is with Osama).Anyone who cannot be identified as a uniformed member should be allowed to make such comments (assuming they aren’t).

Which end of the jackass? The front end or the more accurate part?
