ORLANDO, Fla./NEW YORK (Reuters) - Coca-Cola Co is dropping its membership in a conservative national advocacy group that supports "Stand Your Ground" laws such as the one being used as a defense in the Florida killing of an unarmed black teenager, Trayvon Martin.
The move by the world's biggest soft drink maker comes as corporate America faces increased scrutiny from consumers and shareholder activists over lobbying and political spending.

Due to your decision to publicly side with malcontents and dissociate your company from ALEC, I must end my fifty year love affair with Coke.
I consider this decision by your company nothing
less than complicity with scandalous media’s attempt to inflame racial animosities, and wish you not only hardship in business, but personal hardship for all those involved in this wanton display of craven cowardice.
We like nothing better than Northerners telling us how THEY think it should be done......

I am very familiar with Meyers as I drank many a Mai Tai containing it. I’ve just never tried it straight. I shall correct that deficiency.
