Governor Brown needs to send in the California National Guard to seize the Orange County Courthouse and sell it in order to pay their taxes to the State! That would teach these County rebels a lesson!

Interesting.

Now if we could just get the states to demand an end to Federal Individual _Income_Tax_ (IIT), they could keep and properly use all that money that FG (Federal Government) steals, right in front of them, and then uses bribery and coerision to give back.

USC specifically disallows Individual _Income_Tax_ since it really is a _direct_ tax, in spite of the magical declarations of SCOTUS or any other USG entity. We the People are able to read USC ourselves ;] FG should be apportioning any IIT like funds from the states, per original intent of the Fathers.

Return to USC, USA.

But the economy is doing so well, the tax coffers are overflowing... That’s what the Media keep telling me so it must be true.

Look for Governments to start fighting each other for revenue and look for bogus reasons to screw more taxpayers.
They will do anything but cut spending.

They are already fighting. A nearby city has had to fork over several million to CA due to the budget problems.
When the lead Government has problems, they change the rules.

The US prints money. States take on counties, and cities for $

Am I understanding that the counties are expected to send all their property taxe money collected to Sacramento & then beg for the money back to run their schools. police, fire, etc????

What a scam if so.

You got it pretty much correct.

Pre Prop 13 - Counties collected property tax and 50% of same went to schools locally. The state never saw it. Brown and the legislature decided they needed to control the entire revenue stream AFTER Prop 13, so they modified the law to require all revenues at the county level to come to the state - where the state legislature then gets to doll out the money. This is why we have the constant fiasco called the California Budget process.

So Counties, cities, and schools live completely off of the state doll.

I had never thought of it that way, but you nailed it.
By the time the city gets to your wallet they are using speed traps and bogus assestments.

This is why I don’t like the FR. The money printing is theft at a grand scale and give the Feds far more power then they should have.
