In President Obamas address to the Associated Press Luncheon on Wednesday, he claimed that he is preventing disaster. Republican congressman Paul Ryans proposed budget cuts would still allow publicly held debt to increase by $5.5 trillion over the next ten years, but to Obama, they mean Americans will be dying from starvation and defenseless from hurricanes and other natural disasters.
Demagoguery is not too strong of a word to describe Obamas speech. Two million mothers and young children will be left without access to healthy food. Violent crime will soar and illegal aliens will flood across our borders because of cuts in law enforcement. Hundreds of national parks will close. We wont be able to protect the air we breathe, the water we drink, or the food that we eat. Airline flights will be cancelled or delayed, and safety will be threatened in parts of the country. Weather forecasts would become less accurate. Governors and mayors will wait longer to order evacuations in the event of a hurricane. The list went on and on.
Remember how Obama promised that the stimulus spending was going to be temporary. . . .

FUBO!!! You little Kenyon Punk! (and yes I would say that right to his face given the chance)!
How about logomachy to describe Obama’s statements? Internet source describes one meaning as “debate marked by the reckless or incorrect use of words.”
Hundreds of national parks will close.
And that in itself will help protect and
preserve them from over use.
the funny thing is....it seems we only have 57 or 58 national parks.
You know, about the same number of states we have.
“Logorrhoea” is another apt description.
Actually around 394 if you can trust google.
So hundreds could be as little as half to as much
as all of them.
I stand corrected.
Odd, I never considered that there might be states with
no national parks.
I can think of no more apt description.
From Wikipedia.
20th-century American social critic and humorist H. L. Mencken, defined a demagogue as “one who will preach doctrines he knows to be untrue to men he knows to be idiots.”
As George Bernard Shaw said:
But though there is no difference in this respect between the best demagogue and the worst, both of them having to present their cases equally in terms of melodrama, there is all the difference in the world between the statesman who is humbugging the people into allowing him to do the will of God, in whatever disguise it may come to him, and one who is humbugging them into furthering his personal ambition and the commercial interests of the plutocrats who own the newspapers and support him on reciprocal terms.
Though this definition emphasizes the use of lying and falsehoods, skilled demagogues often need to use only special emphasis by which an uncritical listener will be led to draw the desired conclusion themselves. Moreover, a demagogue may well believe his or her own arguments (for example, there are good reasons to assume that Adolf Hitlercertainly one of the most successful demagogues in historysincerely believed his own anti-Jewish diatribes).

Water will run uphill, cold air will rise, and butterflies will swim.
Can we just lock this dickhead up on some kind of mental disorder? Good Lord!
The man simply cannot speak the truth no matter how simple it is...He lies all the times... This is the only thing that he does, he lies, he lies without any shame or remorse, he lies in the most brazen and shocking way imagined....
The kindest thing I have had to say about DumBO is he can read most words, but, this thread is calling into question my ability to do the same.
Never the less, our arrogant narcissistic POSOTUS cannot separate his demagoguery from his bombast. A new word is needed just to incorporate his form of lie.
You must know how that looks now.
