Administration fears ruling will strike down Obamacare as unconstitutional
Word seems to have gone out in liberal circles that Obamacare is in trouble with the Supreme Court. A systematic and unprecedented assault is undermining the integrity of the system in an attempt to defend this highly unpopular law.
President Obama claimed Tuesday that the court has not overturned a congressional economic regulation in more than 80 years, saying, a law like that has not been overturned at least since Lochner, right? Well, wrong. The 1905 case of Lochner v. New York dealt with a state statute and had nothing to do with the powers of Congress. The law professor should check his notes.
Another problem with trying to invoke precedent is that Obamacare defenders cant keep their story straight on whether the constitutional authority for the health care takeover was found in the governments taxing power, regulation of interstate commerce, a necessary and proper power, or something else. White House attorneys still cant seem to agree, and the grounds kept shifting even during oral arguments before the nation's highest court. Its never a good sign when the solicitor general elicits laughter in the courtroom.
University of Houston law professor David R. Dow suggested impeaching justices who vote against Obamacare...
Mr. Obama treats the unelected justices as just another impediment to his power-to be picked, frozen, personalized and polarized. Perhaps he should appoint a judicial czar to look into the matter.

Won’t have to if he stays in office long enough. The truth be said Obama could covertly have his agents threaten their life knowing that if any conservative judge were “removed” Obama and Harry would be there to replace them with a leftist ideological.
Federal “influence” over their own injustice system is quite extensive is not 100% effective.
If president Obama wan’t to undermined the creditably of the Federal injustice system I say let him. With the de-legitimization of the Federal injustice system our States will take over policy. You see its the Federal Government’s lawless courts that have nullyed our State’s natural resistance.
So by all means de-legitimize them Obama, you will be undercutting the foundation of modern federal Domestic powers, and with it your entire agenda.(I for one don’t believe this is Obama’s objective.)
...................The law professor should check his notes. ............................
So just when did this frikkin idiot morph into a “law Professor”?
Everyone is now using that term.
Last time I checked his bio in 2008, he was a part time lecturer for a very short period of time.
The won walks on water ‘cause he says he can!
Well said. Zer0 wasn’t even close to being a law professor and his uninformed comments on the law and our court system since he was elected proveas it.
War on the Courts.
War on the Congress.
War on Freedom.
War on the Constitution.
War on everything American.
And yet, Senate and House give him a free ride.
Bunch of failed numbnuts.
