A mistake in editing would produce a result, because of varying levels and or pitch, that made it obvious that a cut was done. In all likely hood a cut was made and ameliorating automations inserted to give the listener the sense of one statement.

This can be fun, guys....So now, NBC apparently has a ZERO TOLERANCE for stupidity policy..make just ONE mistake and you get fired..

Well, let's just monitor NBC, MSNBC, and the next time someone makes another "mistake"...we'll see if they get axed..
