I saw that Bob Hope show at Long Binh in December 1971. Got slides of Les Brown & his Band of Renown and the chorus girls & maybe Joey Heatherton was there. Martha Raye did a singalong of Silent Night only that didnt go over too well and some idiots had signs saying “Where’s Jane Fonda” but that was before the b#tch went to Hanoi. I was already sick of hearing on AFVN radio Rolling on the River and Jeremiah Bullfrog and one firebase where we spent the night loaded with MK56 flares they showed Easy Rider night after night until I cheered whenever Dennis Hopper got blown away jeez thats forever & a day ago.

Bien Hoa was the place we saw the Bob Hope show. Man, that’s a long time ago. All those young GI’s are at least in their early 60’s now. I’ll be 62 next Feb.

The Vietnam Vets are not to be taken lightly. These bastards had better realize we have some pent up “pissed off” inside us and we can still kick some ass.
