The Obama administration and its European allies plan to open new negotiations with Iran by demanding the immediate closing and ultimate dismantling of a recently completed nuclear facility deep under a mountain, according to American and European diplomats.
They are also calling for a halt in the production of uranium fuel that is considered just a few steps from bomb grade, and the shipment of existing stockpiles of that fuel out of the country, the diplomats said.
That negotiating position will be the opening move in what President Obama has called Iran’s “last chance” to resolve its nuclear confrontation with the United Nations and the West diplomatically. The hard-line approach would require the country’s military leadership to give up the Fordo enrichment plant outside the holy city of Qum, and with it a huge investment in the one facility that is most hardened against airstrikes.
While it is unclear whether the allies would accept anything less than closing and disassembling Fordo, government and outside experts say the terms may be especially difficult for Iran’s leaders to accept when they need to appear strong in the face of political infighting.

The first piece of evidence is this piece in the Slimes, telling how Barry's gonna get real tough with the mullahs this time. Sure. The mullahs will tell Barry to pound sand, and the WH spinners already know this.
Which brings me the second piece of evidence published this weekend in the Compost (notice the nice symmetry - one big scoop for the Slimes and another for the Compost - a sure sign of major spin campaign) and posted earlier on FR but I'll link to it for those who missed it. That story leaked supposed US intelligence that lo! miracle of miracles! the mullahs aren't really trying to build a warhead, or if they are they're a couple of years from being able to accomplish it.
Notice the brilliance of this WH grand strategy: First, Barry looks tough - he's giving those mullahs one last chance and this time he really really means it. Except that the WH knows that the mullahs will give Barry the finger. So what then, Mr. Tough Guy?
Ah! You see! It doesn't really matter! Those darned mullahs aren't anywhere near getting an actual nuke, so we don't really need to do anything!
Now marvel at the cynicism. Marvel at the conviction that the MSM will carry water for this disaster. Stand amazed at how this actually aids Iran and punishes Israel. Wait for the WH sniping at the Israelis in the coming week when these talks fail and they express their dismay and anger. Because there's one thing for sure, the WH isn't going to let a bunch of cranky Israelis spoil all the fun - they've got a campaign to win!
