Your assessment is completely correct.

Our entire system is based upon a presumption of virtue -- that people will be honest and live up to their contract, that people will tell the truth (as opposed to committing perjury) and that governmnent officials, in particular, will comply with the law.

This administration is not inclined to do that.

It is therefore incumbent on the other branches of government to rein them in. Which isn't easy -- given the separation of powers.

Clinton got away with a lot -- and hge was impeached (though not convicted). Obama is getting away with even more.

In the end, only one branch of government can bring malfeasance to a halt -- the voters.

Simple. Grassley and Issa should issue a warrant for the communist’s arrest and force his testimony under penally of indefinite imprisonment. He will then have to wait 9 months for an Obama pardon.

Grassley is a benign old fart without a stitch of power to do anything but mouth off. Issa, on the other hand has considerable power, which he pi$$es away through the use of his pie hole rather than his power to compel action. They are typical of the RINOs we have elected. As the truckers say, they are all horn and no drive shaft!
