MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Occupy Minnesota did not occupy anywhere Sunday night.

The group’s plans changed after Saturday night’s arrests and near-chaos.

On Sunday, a group of occupiers returned to the site where 12 of their own were arrested. They have no plans to occupy Peavey Plaza now.

“We need to find a place where we can express ourselves and not have to fear police violence,” said occupier Osha Karow.....

Occupiers say police used excessive force; police say they were doing their job in keeping the streets free of obstruction.....

Here we go again, its going to be a long, hot summer and it looks like the local MPD isn't going to put up with the occupy garbage again this year.

"Maximum Security? Death Row?"

That seems a little harsh, Pepper spray and mocking will probably do for the most part. :)

How about they occupy their parents’ basements and then they can tweet each other to their heart’s content.

Killing me!
The movement is dead - long live the (weak) movement.

Losers. Get a job. If not available, clean your room.

If these guys were really serious they would have been "camping" all winter since we pretty much missed it up here this year. They closed up shop and went home around November.

This year it seems like they are picking Loring Park as their "base". That location should be interesting if they stay into July when the "alternatives" have their annual "pride parade". The 2 groups will mix fabulously, I'm sure!

Also we have the little problem with the flash/attack mobs of hoodie wearing gang youths springing up in the down town area that will contribute to the progressive mix.

Add it all up and mayor Rybak-(D) has his work cut out for him!

snicker :)

which side(s) will he take?

What's a good liberal to do?

They can at least take a shower.

Real occupy is too much work. They need to do a virtual occupy. Get some nice high detail aerial photos of public places and put little picture of themselves on the scene. Then they can move them around.

Eventually this will evolve into a great online game where the little avatars have voices. They can chant and scream and use their favorite vulgarities. If you click on them their bio comes up and you can read all the things they want to impose on the world.

Then they can start riots among themselves, have rape fests, steal from each other, etc. Racial segregation and rich/poor areas will spring up just like in the real world. Even canibalism is on the menu when people stop sending them free food.

I hope some computer genius is working on this “Occupy Games” right now. The kids can occupy from mom and dad’s basement without getting too hot or cold or wet. Of course the game will throw bad weather on the scene but only the avatars will suffer. In fact, they can be put on autopilot to perform various atrocities even while the kid is sleeping or playing some other computer game.

Eventually it will evolve into a series of movies, then a TV series, and when that jumps the shark in a couple years, these kids can feel they have done something to change the world!

“Add it all up and mayor Rybak-(D) has his work cut out for him!”
Plus, he recently vetoed the license of the two tour boats on the Mississippi, driving another business out of Minneapolis.
This summer, he’d rather have flash mobs on Nicollet Mall and .9% protesters as the big attraction downtown.
Good luck, baseball fans! Epic Fail!

This time of year, the lakes are crowded with loons. Look like Peavey Plaza just got some of the overflow.

Ha, ha, most of the remarks on the comments section tell the Occu-losers to bathe and go get jobs. I think even many of the liberal types who inhabit the Twin Cities area are tired of these parasites.

I liked last week's episode of The Middle on ABC.

Brick got a new teacher, and when asked why he explained that his old teacher was "still at Occupy Indy".

When your movement becomes the butt of sitcom humor it is SO OVER....

A perscription for a delicious left-wing trainwreck. The homos won't appreciate squatters on what is effectively *their* reservation. Least of all squatters who bring trouble.

Also we have the little problem with the flash/attack mobs of hoodie wearing gang youths springing up in the down town area that will contribute to the progressive mix.

The damage that these 'victim groups' will do to downtown commerce may make *a few* in the 5th district take pause. The hardliners, of course, *live* to suffer under these a-holes.
