Paladino say Gingrich has a 'blistering' pre-primary schedule in New York...
CAPITAL ^ | April 6, 2012 | Reid Pillifant

Posted on 04/09/2012 8:04:24 PM PDT by true believer forever

Businessman and former G.O.P. gubernatorial nominee Carl Paladino, the most highly visible remaining supporter of Newt Gingrich in New York, says the former speaker's somewhat-suspended campaign plans to make an aggressive push here before the April 24 primary.

"I think he's got a blistering schedule planned," said Paladino, who mentioned events in the Buffalo area and central New York, though he declined to offer specifics. (A campaign spokesperson didn't return an email about the campaign's plans.)

"Unlike these other pussies that are saying, 'Oh, we don't want to have a brokered convention, oh'—they're a bunch of pussies, OK? Those are the ones that are the establishment boys that think they're still viable with the people. They're not viable with the people anymore. Those are the control boys. All they're about is keeping the status quo and the status quo is not real anymore for the Republican rank and file nationally."

Paladino said Romney is a "mope," and that his victories were a product of the establishment he ran against.

"I believe that what I'm watching is the Republican establisment, and I'm talking about the big boys putting up a lot of money, so that they can buy the election and push Romney's buttons," he said. "Because I don't think Romney has the intellectual capacity to do it on his own, do the right thing."

On the issues, Paladino praised Gingrich and said Romney was a "chameleon" trying to satisfy the electorate.

"He's so confused on his own issues, he doesn't know if he's coming or going. But he's got the pretty face and he looks presidential, he's not a little roly-poly like Newt Gingrich."

The next 5 months may be some of the most important months in this history of America... are you still in?

Carl's in it for Newt. And I bet he brings his baseball bat.

Newt paladino

Err, isn’t this the Carl Paladino that lost to Cuomo by 27% of the vote in 2010? I mean, that’s not just a thrashing, its special kind of humiliating defeat that one would almost have to try to replicate. I’m happy to see Newt still campaigning, but seriously, Paladino is hardly the kind of guy we need offering public support to Gingrich.

If you knew your history, you would know what Cuomo and the NY media did to Paladino, not too different than what romney did to newt in Florida - trash time, the establishment and money everywhere.

Many many people who look up to Carl, he has helped many humanitarian and republican causes in NY. No, he’s not perfect, neither is Newt.

Who do you support - the 18% loser Rick?

Certainly not, Rick will be lucky to carry his own state in the primary and may go down to defeat yet again.

I like Newt, I am glad to see he is still in and carrying the big ideas, small government message foth. But Carl Paladino? He just doesn't strike me as the kind of person who is going to give Newt any additional credibility in NY.

I am so sick of Romney I could puke! How can he be winning when he is so disliked? The dems want him, that is for sure, but as our candidate, not their’s!

Still in Newt’s court here....will be anxious to hear what Newt’s going to say in the days ahead. I’m in Pa. so via the polls and media appears it’s between Romney and Santorum here, but if Newt’s still trending I’ll go Newt...I will vote late rather than traditional early to see how Newt’s doing...it’s important Romney not get Pa. delegates.

Well, if you have heard Paladino in person, he has this bulldog quality, this intensity, this real-ness... he was about to overtake cuomo in the polls, even had him tied in some, when the NY dem machine took out after him. It was quite horrible... I like him, but I can see if you don't. Just keep on liking Newt...

The convention starts 20 weeks from today. It may be the most important five months of our lives. Please work and give to Newt all you can!

I was reading comments on the liberals sites and they ALL are saying, in one manner or another, that either Republicans will not for for Romney, and thus to Obamas advantage, or they will sit at home and not vote at all...quaranteeing Obama wins.

However some do say that when push comes to shove the Republicans will unite and they will be out voting to make certain Obama doesn’t get it...as well saying that their afraid that those thinking the Republicans won’t vote Romney will encourage Democrates to stay home and not come out.

What’s really odd is both sides of the fence have the same concerns...Republicans and Democrates.. just a different candidate....and both think the whole election system is shot and needs reforming.

actually, he isn't winning in reality. He has acquired an auro of winning and the cloak of inevitability mainly thanks to the GOPe and the media...

They thought he would have this put away by now...

Yes I am...and have my own script to make the calls...it’s going to be a long shot for Newt now unless he’s got plans to pull the rabbit out of the hat soon....as said I’m anxious to hear what he’s going to say in these next days ahead...before Pa. voters go out to vote.

Thank you, tbf!

A Herculean effort by Newt to bring it to the country that there are solutions, and he has been the only one with those solutions. I just wonder what he believes the chances are now for a rowdy convention? Those last wins by Romney over Santorum seemed to mellow even Newt’s calculations for a fiery convention, do you think so?

Romney is a ruse and after watching him all these months, I agree with something that has NOT been said, but for Paladino; Romney is NOT that smart. He’s just rich. His wife will have to run his presidency, if he were ever to buy the office, because she will have to float this quirk and one-note ruse for four years.

Santorum is so weightless and Ron Paul is still, Ron Paul.

There is but one president among them. Newt.

I don't know if you got to see it or not, but Newt was on Hannity tonight. It will be rebroadcast at midnight, newt is on at about 15 past the hour.

Newt said, the media has taken his remarks out of context. He made the point romney is the likely nominee, he will support the nominee, but he intends to remain in until secures the nomination, then he will work for the party in the election.

People have been making a big deal about Newt saying romney looks like the potential nominee, while qualifying it isn't over yet... but if he had said something like of course, I am going to win, forget about romney... then people would be calling him delusional.

He is going to bring out some new position papers in the next few days.

He also said he is headed for the convention, and he doesn't know why people don't believe him. He said, if he could, he'd tatoo "all the way to Tampa" on his forehead if he could...

Newt tatoo

If you saw him Sunday on Fox Sunday, I saw a humble man, who seemed genuinely at peace with how things are so far. I don't think he is giving up, I think he has a very clear-eyed view of the nasty nitty gritty of the now and now. And I think he knows that one of the words to describe the current state of his campaign is hopeless.

I don't think it's in him to give up. I don't think he knows how to give up. I think he is focused on the convention and having some power input to the platform. He thinks historically the republican needs to emerge again as a truly conservative party. Some of the planks he talked about are formidable.

I've been working most of the day but have been posting the following wherever and whenever I could...

People like to talk, and they like to think when the chips are down they have what it takes to come through... Well, I believe we are on the banks of the Delaware right now... I don't know how many are up for the journey but I pray and pray...

Newt make history again

:-D You better believe it! The Texas Newt team is solidifying their volunteer list with an emphasis on county leadership. We can’t start too soon! Please sign up at newt.org if you haven’t already.
Make Texas belong to Newt! (and God Bless our Governor Perry!)

This Paladino guy’s got kind of a bad mouth, but I really appreciate his support nonetheless!

Yeah, Carl seems to be a salt of the earth type, but his heart's in the right place.

Here's a couple Tx links. You probably already have them...but I know people are really trying to double down there...

I'd like to invite you to like the official Texas with Newt page and also follow @newt2012tx on Twitter! Let's show everyone that Newt has LOTS of support in the Lone Star State!

http://www.facebook.com/TexasWithNewt

The Alabama Newt Leadership team will be deploying into Houston, Texas on May 22nd through election day on the 29th. We are excited about this chance to make a difference in the campaign - by organizing 'Newt's Army' via Grassroots efforts, and providing a structured ground game throughout the state. We are asking any Newt volunteers seeking to join us on this 'Boots for Newt' tour to Texas to please contact Jennifer L Montrose via facebook.

We are organizing this trip to Texas simply because we believe in very principled values - all of which Newt possesses. In speaking with many volunteers across the country, it is evident that our hearts are bleeding for a Newt victory. Prayers have been lifted, donations have been made, miles have been traveled. The media has given up on Newt. The pessimists all agree that Newt's campaign is at a dead end. Newt, nor his supporters believe that!

With that said, it's imperative that we send out a strong message that we will NOT be defeated, our voices will not be silenced, and our vision for a better tomorrow cannot be conquered. Moreover, we are excited at the opportunity to deploy to Texas! We are encouraged to meet the many folks there that are already working to secure a Newt win in May. There's one thing we are all willing to do: never stop working for Newt!

Join us as we travel to Texas - and let's have ourselves a Texas-style hoedown when Newt emerges the victor on May 29th! This will truly set the stage for a showdown in August when Newt arrives in Tampa, Florida for a historic Convention which will bring a victory to the only true, bold conservative in this primary race - Speaker Newt Gingrich!

With Newt,

The Alabama Newt Leadership Team

Bill Goolsby

Michael Ciamarra

Jennifer Montrose

Chris Bowden

Daniel Dean

I am so grateful for all the work you do for Newt! May God bless you.

This is WONDERFUL!!
I don’t have them. I’m not on FB much, but I looked last time & there were a bunch of Newt pages. I ‘liked’ a couple of them, but I wasn’t sure if they were the “official” ones or not.
I wonder if the phone team doesn’t know about these, either..

Y’All will be so welcome & this is great news! We’re in San Antonio & are hoping to be in Houston, too. No one else can lead this country back from the edge.
Thank you, too! And God Bless you & all of Y’All!
