CRAIG COUNTY, Oklahoma -
A 73-year-old Craig County woman was arrested Monday after sheriff's deputies searched her home and found marijuana and $278,000 in cash.
Darlene Mayes was booked into the Craig County jail.
Sheriff Jimmie Sooter says a lengthy investigation led deputies to conduct a search of her home Monday.
Along with the five pounds of marijuana, deputies found the cash in vacuum-sealed bags in the house and in her car.
Mayes home is located six miles east of Vinita.
Mayes was booked into the Craig County jail on a complaint of possession of marijuana.

Cash Recovered
Over a quarter of a million bucks in cash and 5 lbs. of pot. Grandma must have been “sick” a lot lately.
I don’t think you can legally be sick like that in OK.
And with 5 lbs all she was busted for was "possession" not "possession with intent to distribute"?
We can sleep so much safer in our beds tonight, knowing that this horrible criminal is behind bars. /s
The kids will really miss her great brownies.
I’m sure the folks living in those parts feel much safer now that granny is behind bars.
Her picture sorta bears you out on that.
Just goes to show that our Seasoned Citizen (of which I are one) can not (and this I can also attest to) live on Social Security, thus we have to look for other means to “supplement our income,” mine being btw, a small business I own and operate and will probably continue to work until the Good Lord calls me to (I hope) his Kingdom...that is if he have a memory lapse and forgets all the transgressions I have committed. lol
Selling adults things they want to buy ... we can't have that going on.
