“1st Amendment, please?”
This isn’t the government.
This is JimRob’s site.
First amendment doesn’t work in someone else’s house.
“1st Amendment, please?”
Non-governmental entities (or individuals) may, and often do, restrict any sort of speech at their discretion. The First A prohibits governmental action. For a recent example, see Ozzie Guillen.
Please show where the First Amendment limits the ability of a website owner to kick someone off his own private property.
I swear, some folks think the First Amendment would give them the right to march up to their boss and curse him out.
1st Amendment, please?
Yes, the 1st Amendment is in full effect here and on every website in the USA, to wit, the GOVERNMENT can’t stifle your speech here. THAT is what the 1st Amendment guarantees.
Your speech here is at the behest of the good graces of the site owner and his delegated representatives. Calling the site owner’s opinion “ignorant”, even if it is, is hardly a good way to remain in the site owners good graces, by who’s grace you have a forum here.
Or would you cherry pick constitutional free speech rights at the expense of constitutional property rights. The electrons used to store all this information is on JimRob’s private personal property and he is sole arbiter of whether or not they are kept or added to or deleted.
Go ahead and insult the site owner, but it is at your own risk. That’s all I’m saying.
By the way, his argument is FAR from ignorant. I disagree with him that we can survive 4 more years of Obama, but his argument is still a measured and intelligent one, that any real or perceived gain I have from removing Obama in the short term, would be nullified and made far worse by the longer term damage of appeasing the RINOs in the GOP.
I disagree with his assessment but I fully recognize he may well be right about that.
He just believes the truth is different from what you believe. He is not ignorant. He is especially well informed.
“1st Amendment, please? “
Are you retarded?
FR is private property.
