the truth is that the people of Pa do not like him. He sold us out multiple times. He dropped out because the polls told him so in spades.

Plus also from what I have heard, Romney was getting ready to put out ads that would have distroyed Santorum.

The latest Pennsylvania polling from PPP and Rasmussen had Romney within the margin of error.

If Santorum wanted to continue his political career he had to exit or face the ignominy of losing his home state. Unable to win even as substantially as Newt did in GA, and no where near Mitt's 72% in MA, he blinked.

Unfortunately for us all, having "taken one for the [GOPe] team" and helped Romney win, he could return in 2016 with the mantle of "it's my turn" as first loser McCain did 2008 and Romney has in 2012.
