Karl Rove's Super PAC Ready for Anti-Obama Blitz

If you think Republicans have been bashing President Obama, you haven't seen anything yet. American Crossroads, the largest GOP super PAC with an expected $200 million—founded by Karl Rove and Ed Gillespie—looks ready to begin its anti-Obama ads this month, reports the New York Times. Crossroads had been expected to wait until the Republican primaries were over to launch its campaign, but with Mitt Romney appearing to have the nomination in hand, the super PAC organizers decided to move up the schedule.

American Crossroads will begin campaign ads this month, but the bulk of its buys are expected from May to July. Crossroads' ads are in part designed to cover Romney while he rebuilds his coffers. The Romney campaign has only $7.3 million at the moment, and is about two months behind schedule for opening field offices in a dozen key states. Crossroads ads are expected to attempt to shift the debate from the Democrats' focus on wealth inequality to a referendum on the White House's economic policies.

Sorry, but I'm not impressed. I don't trust Tokyo Rove, and I recall when Gillespie headed the RNC. He was a RINO then, and I doubt he's changed any.

ObamaRomneyCare, Global Warming, Higher Taxes, judges, and all the social issues are off the plate. What will they talk about in the ads?

He won’t be taking on the EPA. He won’t end the marxist indoctrination going on in our schools. He won’t interfere with the growing global control of the USA. He won’t stop the illegal invasion of our country. He won’t make any real appreciable cuts in spending......

Good stuff! The more attacks on Obama the better. They are deserved and well founded.

Ah Rove. The architect of the 2 single largest Republican losses in the last 75 years. I know I feel better knowing he is involved.

I can’t remember, is Rove a good guy or bad guy right now? I remember all the “Rove, you magnificent bastard” posters when he did something we liked, but then he did something we didn’t and got thrown under the bus.

It’s so hard to remember who the FR heroes are anymore!

Ann Coulter: then hero, now evil.
Paul Ryan: then hero, now evil.
Joe Lieberman: evil, but then said something good about our military, now not as evil
etc., etc.

Sigh.

American Crossroads makes some really, really funny and good commercials.

They skewer the Democrat party without being nasty. But the point is MADE very, very well.

Your observation is very accurate. I don’t know how old you are, but this is my thinking:

Some here on FR really seem to be mirroring the Democrats of the 1980s...they were so filled with “infighting” and trying to determine who was the best standard bearer for their “cause”, they were constantly in disarray.

The Talking Heads even had a song about them: “The Democratic Circus” was the name about it, I think—from their album “Naked”.

Anyway, I am of the mind that the defeat of Obama is more important than having my favorite Republican in office.

I will support the Republicans.

I learned a long time ago to never count your chickens before they hatch. You always learn to like the taste of crow after awhile. :O)

I’ve always found Rove to be a bit of an assclown. Krauthammer on the other hand had me fooled.

No one would be able to stop any of that and more. The Rot is through and through.

Maybe we’ll re-build after she collapses.
