This Level Headed FReeper is *NOT* voting for Romney (VANITY)

Posted on 04/10/2012 6:20:28 PM PDT by Halfmanhalfamazing

With all of the chicanery that the GOP-E has done over the last year, and helped the media to do over the last year, there's NO WAY I'm surrendering to these creeps.

Romney is *NOT* our candidate! He's their candidate, we're NOT REPUBLICANS! We are conservatives and constitutionalists FIRST. We believe in small government! Not this big government crap that Romney has peddled for the better half of the last decade or two, and I certainly can't do any more nose holding at the ballot box.

Voting for a big government republican is the real world equivalent of cutting off my nose to spite my face. That I refuse to do.

Reforming the GOP into a small government conservative party doesn't just mean voting for the right tea partiers at the right time. It means refusing to vote for the wrong big government republicans at the wrong time. We need to starve the beast of votes. We need to teach the republican party that if they have any shot at electoral success in the future, they only have one viable path. Bold colors BOLD COLORS BOLD COLORS

Vote for anyone but Bath-House Barry and pledge and WORK to make Romney’s life in office HELL!!!!

What makes you think that is possible when RINOs and Democrats will be more than willing to help him pass "bipartisan" legislation while the liberal media gushes praise upon him?

“You are so terrified and cowed of him, that you think everybody else in American and in Washington is going to roll over right along with you?”

Who, in Washington or elsewhere, has given any indication of being able to stop him yet?

(Actually, the only ones that come to my mind are Sheriff Joe Arpaio (sp?) and perhaps (we shall see) Justices Thomas, Scalia, Roberts, Alito, and Kennedy.)

That’s alright. I didn’t slam your opinion.

You assigned to me something, which was false.

I’m not a “my guy or the highway” person. I’d gladly vote for any conservative.

The fact of the matter is that the GOP-E rolled us up and smoked us, just like we rolled them up and smoked them in 2010.

They handed us our arses. And now we’re stuck with Romney because of it.

Can't disagree with your last sentence.

I guess I am just resigned to play the hand I'm dealt rather than fold after the flop without seeing the turn and the river.

Didn't mean to misrepresent your position. My apologies.

In the end, we are all FRiends here. To be frank, I think more of the opinions my fellow FReepers present than those of some of my extended Family who simply don't get it.

Good for you!

When you reward bad behavior, you only get more of it.

I won't reward the Republican Party with my vote--at least not for president.

I am not voting for Mitt Romney under ANY circumstances

And fair warning--I don't care who he picks as his VP. If he's at the top of the ticket, I reject the ticket. Period.

My FRiend. Do you not realize that Mister Obama, in a second (and "flexible") term will...

"Oh no! Fear! Fear! Vote Romney or else the sky will fall! Fear! Fear! Fear!

Guess what? I don't vote based on fear. And I don't vote for stinking liberal dirtbags from either party.

I’m with OP.
I’ve endured Bush I, Dole, Bush II, McCain, and NOW they want me to accept Romney?
To hell with the East Coast rigged GOP primary.
To hell with FOXNEWS.
To hell with Bill Oreilly.
To hell with Newt Gingerich.
If I don’t have a real say in the primary screw the general election.

I say make the GOP get off their asses and DEAL with Obama.
They could have taken him out but are too compromised so they are waiting for another election!!!... meanwhile...

I’ll not vote for another lib republican.

YOUR actions are the reason that we are hanging on the precipice with Obamacare at the Supreme Court. YOUR actions are why we are facing trillions and trillions of dollars in debt. YOUR actions are why gas is $4 a gallon. YOUR actions are why unemployment is on the exciting side of 8 percent.

These are the actions of the Republican Party, not Conservatives.

The GOP is dead, do not keep them on life support, they cannot and will not fight. They are weak, so weak that they move further left each year. They actively work with leftwing commies to destroy Conservative candidates, AND with conservative legislation. Many in the GOP actively campaigned FOR Obama in 2008. THESE are the traitors of which you speak.

Conservative politics will be dead too, if you continue to let the GOP marginalize us. We are stronger without them.

Maybe that will work, but most of the screaming pants wetters and penny party dictators will still miss the subtleties.

Yeah I am going to call you out, Mr./Ms. I’m not going to vote for Demons because they’re all so EVIL.

You apparently have not experienced the real world, where you have to make decisions based upon the circumstances that are available. Let’s play a game.

Psalm 144 is at the Alamo. He/She has the opportunity to help stall the advance of Santa Anna and save the Republic of Texas. Psalm 144’s solution: I don’t like Sam Houston’s mustache so I am just going to let the Mexicans rape and murder everyone.

Psalm 144 has two children in a burning house, but has time to only save one. Psalm 144’s solution: Let them both die, because I don’t like having to pick one or the other.

Psalm 144, congratulations, you killed Texan independence and no longer have any children. But you STUCK BY YOUR PRINCIPLES, DAMNIT.

I can’t have my way, F*** everyone else. Maybe you will rethink your approach after Obama gets reelected and puts two more justices on the USSC and then confiscates your house and makes you buy a cardboard box for shelter because you’re too rich.

AT LEAST YOU SHOWED THOSE F***ING REPUBLICANS!1!!1!1111

It occurs to me that a proper independent (or third party) candidate could win the Presidency in 2012.

It would take a very special individual, but I think she could succeed.

At this point, I believe:

Therefore, at this point, I'd like to see Sarah Louise Palin make an independent run for President of the United States in 2012. If not immediately, then at least once Romney becomes the certain nominee (as late as the convention but effectively sooner, I would think.)

I agree. All she needs to do is show up at one of the offices of a minor party that's on every presidential ballot in all 50 states and it's a whole new ballgame.

Say it softly for now...

Palin for President, 2012

“The establishment RINOS will all be using that “So you’re supporting Obama?” mantra to try to get conservatives to again accept their slimy loser candidate. No thanks buddy.”

Yes, they will, but it won’t work at this household. There is nothing that they or anyone else can say to change our minds about not voting for Romney. We don’t vote for candidates that are pro-abortion, pro-gay, anti-gun, pro-big government, pro-raising taxes, pro-mandates, lying liberals.

I didn’t like Reagan’s hair, and would have followed him to hell and back. Supported him every time he ran. Never did like his hair. Loved his policies. I will vote any conservative, fair, middling or ugly. Sam Houston also did not have a mustache. 0/10 Fail. Next.

“Psalm 144 has two children in a burning house, but has time to only save one. Psalm 144’s solution: Let them both die, because I don’t like having to pick one or the other.”

Inapt analogy. Neither Willard nor Hussein are my children, but this is an admirable effort to get me on board with abortion. Now, if Willard and the Lightworker - who are at issue here - were both inside a burning house, I would really be torn. Block the windows first, or the doors? 2/10, just for the creative effort to make abortion palatable, but still a fail.

“But you STUCK BY YOUR PRINCIPLES, DAMNIT.”

Damn straight sugarlips. At least we found one thing to agree on. 10/10.
