Barack Obama campaign cites precedent set by Mitt Romney’s father as it demands release of old tax

The Obama campaign is escalating its call for Mitt Romney to release old tax returns by using the likely Republican nominee’s father to make its point.

“Mitt Romney’s own father [George Romney] released 12 years of tax returns when he ran for president” in 1968, Obama campaign manager Jim Messina said Monday during a conference call with reporters.

Romney in January released his 2010 tax return and a 2011 estimate, which showed he paid an effective tax rate of 14 percent on $45 million in total income over those two years. The returns also revealed a recently closed Swiss bank account and financial holdings in the Cayman Islands and Bermuda.

Romney has thus far refused to make earlier returns public. Presidential candidates are not obligated to release their tax returns, but the Obama campaign has argued that Romney should follow the precedent set by his father and others.

“Our message to Mitt is simple,” Messina said. “If you don’t have anything to hide, release your taxes just like every other candidate for president does.”

Romney should say sure right after the GSA releases the rest of the tapes of his administration partying in Vegas using OUR MONEY at the tune of a million bucks! And as soon as his justice dept. releases the documents from Fast & Furious!

Romney should present Barack with a framed copy of Romney’s birth certificate. He needs to play hardball with Barry since Barry and his cohorts think they are so damn smart (and arrogant!).

Wow. Romney has a list of items he could trade with Obama for a game of 'I'll show ya mine if you show me yours':

(1) the original, long-form 1961 Hawaiian birth certificate.
2) Marriage license between Obama’s father (Barak Sr.) and mother (Stanley Ann Dunham)— not found, not released
3) Obama’s baptism records — sealed
4) Obama’s adoption records — sealed
5) Records of Obama’s and his mother’s reptriation as US citizens on return from Indonesia — not found, not released
6) Name change (Barry Sotero to Barack Hussein Obama) records — not found, not released
7) Noelani Elementary School (Hawaii)— not released
8) Punahou School financial aid or school records — not released
9) Occidental College financial aid records — not released.(These records were, however, subpoenaed but Obama lawyers succeeded in quashing the subpoena in court. No other Occi records have been released.)
10) Columbia College records — not released
11) Columbia senior thesis — not released
12) Harvard Law School records (not mentioned below, but not released)
13) Obama’s law client list — sealed
14) Obama’s files from career as an Illinois State Senator — sealed
15) Obama’s record with Illinois State Bar Association — sealed
16) Obama’s medical records — not released
17) Obama’s passport records — not released

The question is, does Romney have the balls to respond by demanding that Ubama release all of his college transcripts?
Or is Romney going to run “an honorable campaign” like that loser McCain?

He should call for the President to pen his college records so as to put the matter to rest before the campaign, so as not to distract from the important issues. But my guess is that, even leaving aside the citizenship, he won’t do it because it would reveal he was not an outstanding student. After Kennedy became president there was this effort to convince us he was a ‘brain.” He was not.

This a great list of things to for Mitt Romney (or preferably Newt Gingrich) to DEMAND that 0dumb0Sh-t release all these records first. Why can we never get a Repub with a pair a steel balls, who is willing to play hardball with the commie pig 0dumb0sh_t. It is the height of audacity & hypocrisy for 0dumb0Sh_t to demand the release of Romney's tax returns when there is a whole slough of missing records from 0dumb0sh_t.

Mitt doesn't have the balls to demand the release of these records. And I think that even Newt would probably shy away from demanding the release of these records from 0dumb0Sh_t.

does Romney have the balls...

Now that the party candidate infighting is largely over, we will soon find out what Mitt's made of, or lack thereof. I will say this: McCain never wanted to win, Mitt does.

Just like everything else, Milt will fold and release his families tax records for the last 6 decades. He is too incompetent to turn this around on the Regime.

Not only does Romney have the balls to respond, he possesses the wit to make a very intimidating counter argument. He demonstrated that in his debates with Shannon O'Brien when he ran for Governor. Believe me, he knows how to throw it back. But to an astute observer, therein lies the problem because although he seems willing and able to aggressively defend himself from a woman, he doesn't seem to be able to do the same when he finds himself in a confrontation with a man. In such a situation his behavior seems awkward at best, and this was aptly demonstrated with his now famous ten thousand dollar bet, and previously with his bizarre behavior during his radio interview, that was video taped. It's almost as if he was completely isolated during his youth and never experienced what any normal boy does in the schoolyard. I doubt he's ever gotten into a fistfight in his life. That's probably why he comes across as plastic to most other guys. There's something missing in him. A shared experience that just isn't there, and charm alone just isn't enough to carry him over the line this time.

Somebody like Barack Obama can smell this kind of person a mile away, and if Romney wants the Presidency, he better smarten up and fight like man, or Obama is going to walk all over him.

Do we even know for sure the little scumbag Ubama graduated from anywhere? As an affirmative action, dope-using, college partier, he was likely coddled and "socially promoted" through the colleges he claims he attended, but has does anybody actually know for sure he graduated?

I think we're all doomed because there's a very good chance that Obama is going to get re-elected.

It's going to be a bitter taste, pulling that lever for Romney, but I can't in good conscience hand over another four years to the Marxist in the White House. I have to put my country before my pride. That's just how I see it. It may suck but, others have sacrificed much more...
