we conservatives cannot win because the GOP has foisted a liberal progressive upon us

I don't think this is true. The GOP didn't stop anyone from entering the field and didn't keep all the notMitts in the race and didn't split the vote between them.

We couldn't agree on here who to back; we still can't agree on Newt and he's the only one left.

We didn't have a good field of candidates and we didn't unite behind one of the ones we had. If we magically created a FR Conservative Party tomorrow, I doubt we wouldn't split and fight and destroy each nominee again.

The party ain't the problem.

This is true.

We've become a II Timothy 3 Generation as a culture. God has given us over to strong delusion and confusion. The patriarchs of our country believed they were suffering the tyranny of the Crown because they had sinned as a people. In the decades leading up to Independence, Repentance was preached from the pulpits and the people sought God in their daily living beyond just words once a week.

We're in this mess for many reasons, but primarily for those on this forum, it's because we're putting politics first as a solution to the problems this people chose for themselves and not doing 2 Chronicles 7:14.

Of course the circular firing squad we saw this year was beyond the pale, and that was stoked by operatives in Obama; Romney and Ron Paul's camps. That looks to continue so the Marxists and RINO's will continue to trod over what is left of us.

From the get-go I was willing to support Bachmann, Cain, Santorum, and Gingrich (though I strongly felt Gingrich needed a brilliant VP pick to appeal to the masses). I welcomed Perry on board and heard him out too. I can't be any more accommodating than that. I drew a line with Huntsman and Romney because they are progressives in our ranks, wolves in sheeps clothing. I refuse to unite behind any candidate that is better suited to representing the democrat party than the republican. And I think most of our frustrated FRiends here were on the same ride as I was ... watching the more conservative candidates get picked off one by one. Romney doesn't even belong on our team and he's still in the game. It's not his own money he's using to outspend the conservative opponents 10 to 1. Find the ones bankrolling him and you'll find the ones I blame for merging the republican and democrat parties into one big progressive tent. If that isn't the GOP-e, I'll be shocked. And for that reason, I do feel the party is the problem. Romney should have been one of the first to go, not the last, if the GOP still held conservative values.
