I read that book and saw that movie years ago!
In the book they never found something to battle the Triffids. In the movie they did.

My family has a cottage on that lake and my brother is a trooper that works at that barracks. He told me they have no idea what it could have been. I will have the music theme from Jaws playing in my head when I fall in the water while water skiing. Keep a look out for a big green whale with rabies.
This is Connecticut.
If they find any Triffids, they will run them as Democrats and elect them to the legislature.
We already have a Democrat-infested, carnivorous, parasitic legislature that loves nothing better than paralyzing and sucking the lifeblood out of their hard-working, ever-suffering hosts.
Would we even notice the difference?
Even more bizarre than a green glowing object that falls from the sky is the fact that Michelle wears a sleeveless summer frock in December.
