“Calling someone else’s religion a “false religion” and the attacking them smells a little like bigotry to me. In fact, so does the implication that there is but one true faith.”

The Apostle Paul attacked heresy. The Apostle Peter attacked heresy. The Savior, Jesus Christ attacked false religion. Were they bigots?

If there isn’t ONE TRUE FAITH, then Christ died for no reason at all. Does that make Him a bigot too??

Frankly, I don’t what Jesus said or didn’t say, since everything we know about him was written long after he left. In fact, I believe that if Jesus was a wise teacher, whatever words he use about about being “saved” were intended symbolically or metaphorically. To put a finer point on it, I do not believe that a wise and loving “savior” or a wise and loving God would ever condemn people to hell based on some technicality of religious belief. In other words, I do believe that members of all religions can be admitted to heaven.

So, no, Jesus was not a bigot, nor was he dogmatic.
