Bizarre twist in Nadia Lockyer saga
San Francisco Chronicle ^ | 4/13/12 | Phillip Matier, Andrew Ross, Chronicle Columnists

More drama involving Alameda County Supervisor Nadia Lockyer - this time concerning an e-mail from her Web address that was sent to the San Jose Mercury News suggesting she was in serious distress and blaming her husband, state Treasurer Bill Lockyer, for hooking her on drugs.

After receiving the e-mail Wednesday, the Mercury News called police in Hayward, where officers and paramedics were promptly dispatched to the Lockyers' home to check on her.

According to law enforcement and other sources, Nadia Lockyer insisted she was fine and denied sending the e-mail.

However, she did tell a Mercury News reporter who showed up at her door that she had in fact drafted part of the e-mail - but that "everything in regards to my husband was all added."

Tom Dresslar, spokesman for Bill Lockyer, called any suggestion that the treasurer had given his wife drugs "100 percent false."

"We don't know who sent the e-mail, but whoever wrote it is not telling the truth," Dresslar said. "It never happened."

Meanwhile, law enforcement sources tell us a check of Nadia Lockyer's personal computer revealed nothing suspicious.

She is blaming the e-mail on her former boyfriend Stephen Chikhani, who is under investigation by the state attorney general's office in connection with a possible assault against her in a Newark hotel room Feb. 3.

He’s 70 and she’s 40(hot). He’s a Democrat. That means he’s a wannabe Kennedy. There’s only one problem: He’s frumpy-looking-meaning that he won’t be the one getting it on the side-she will. Look how it turned out. At least she’s not dying like Elizabeth Edwards. If she gets off the hook and returns home he’s still going to have to get it up. Not likely. She’ll end up with someone else and he will end up with custody of their son. Wonderful.

Unlike Ann Romney, Nadia has actually had a job. Of course, her job was bought and paid for by her rich Rat husband.

Can’t remember the numbers but this guy spent an astounding amount - nearly $2 million IIRC - on her campaign for a COUNTY office.

Of course this guy hasn’t had a job outside of elective office since 1973. Interesting how much $$ he had to buy love.
