Oklahoma prosecutors filed murder and hate crime charges Friday against two men arrested in an Easter weekend shooting spree that left three people dead and terrorized Tulsa's black community.
Jake England, 19, and his roommate, Alvin Watts, 33, each are charged with three counts of first-degree murder, two counts of shooting with intent to kill and five counts of malicious harassment. The harassment counts allege the victims were targeted because of their race.

They are already facing the death penalty so why does the hate crime charge matter? It provides a talking point for race pimps Sharton, Obama, and Jackson.

TULSA, Okla., April 12 (UPI) — The Rev. Jesse Jackson wants a federal investigation of the recent shootings in Tulsa, Okla., saying local officials are reluctant to call it a hate crime.
Jackson, who plans to visit the city this weekend, said there is a pattern of blacks being attacked in Oklahoma, with a number of unsolved killings.
“There is a pattern of attacks on blacks here, and that’s why we’re urging the Department of Justice and the FBI to intervene,” Jackson said. “It’s not unlike the old South, where local officials spent an awful lot of time covering their tracks.”

If Obama is re-elected, expect Holder (on behalf of Jackson and Sharpton) to start forcing white farmers off their land....
Except England is Cherokee, and father was shot and killed by an AA.
Hmmm! One of these individuals may have engaged in the killings due to the murder of his father by a black. Berserkers?
The truth is that the prevailing pattern for decades has been blacks murdering other blacks and whites. Crime statistics and prison populations tell the story.
It’s not hard to believe that the young man whose father had been murdered illogically transferred is rage from an individual to a race. The hate crime charge is legally appropriate but doesn’t add anything. It’s always sad when innocent bystanders of any race or ethnicity are murdered for irrational hatred.

Looks like England's father was killed while attacking an armed citizen who utilized a stand your ground law.
So, they’ll get put to death for murder. And because it’s a hate crime they’ll REALLY be put to death.
I've been casually reading this story for a week.
I keep looking for info about any criminal records for the two white perps - but never see anything.
My instincts say these two white guys are not fallen angels.
And, my instincts say the Associated Press may be deliberately withholding that news.
However, the AP has consistently reported that England's father was shot and killed by a Black man two years ago.
Then, today, this sudden disclosure in the last paragraph of an AP story:
“England's father, Carl, was fatally shot in 2010 by a black man who had threatened Carl England's daughter. After tracking down Pernell Jefferson, the men fought and Carl England was fatally shot. Jefferson was not charged with homicide because an investigation determined he acted in self-defense.”
Since news coverage of the Tulsa racial murders is directly related to the George Zimmerman “self-defense” case in Florida, you have to wonder why AP took so long to tell us about this.
I would not be surprised if Conservative bloggers in Tulsa have finally forced AP’s hand.
Hate crime laws are stupid. MURDER in and of itself is a crime of hate.
Has the AP yet to report England’s race as Native American?
Reuters claims he’s at “at least part Native American.”

Both England and Watts were described in the charging document as white, though England has been described as at least part Native American.
The Tulsa killings followed the shooting death of Florida teenager Trayvon Martin, a case that has captured national attention largely because of race.
Martin, 17, was black, and the shooter, 28-year-old George Zimmerman, is white and Hispanic. Zimmerman has been charged with second-degree murder.
There was no justification for England and Watts to shoot the blacks in Tulsa. England may be angry about his father’s death, but that was ruled self defense. The prosecution should have no problem with this case.
If the alleged “white Cherokee” here was applying for a college affirmative action scholarship as a Native American would he be denied?
