Are you kidding me?

You actually believe we would be better off voting in as many conservatives as possible and having Obama in office than if we voted in as many conservatives as possible and had Romney?

If that's your position then something has gone dreadfully wrong in your thinking. We have an undocumented, unvetted, full blown commie in the white house. We must rid the country of this fraud of a man no matter who the Republican Nominee may be. We can't elect enough conservatives to make the country safe from 4 more years of Obama, Holder, and all the rest of the commie thugs he brought along.

Wake up!

Newt isn’t out yet, so can’t we at least hold off the recriminations until we are actually stuck with Romney?

” than if we voted in as many conservatives as possible and had Romney?”

Yes. Republicans such as yourself don’t hold the party accountable before an election so what makes you think you will hold Romney accountable after the election? Besides, what’s your leverage, you’ve already proven you will vote for the Republican candidate no matter what? They’re not worried about what you think. You don’t matter; they have your vote.

Are you so devoid of logic that you don't understand that a Republican Congress will be lulled to sleep by a president wearing their team jersey?

Do you not understand that it's better to have an avowed enemy in front of you, than an abject traitor to your cause, who only pretends to support your beliefs?

You assume that you're making a pragmatic choice, when in fact, you're only choosing which Socialist liberal is more palatable to you. The right choice in this situation, is to continue to fight back, no matter what it takes, or the eventual outcome.

People like you are part of the problem. Go ahead vote for Romney. Knock your socks off. Continue the downward trend of what you supposedly believe in.

I will not be voting for Romney. I will be sitting it out in the Presidential section of the ballot. Perhaps you should take some of your own advice and realize that “something has gone dreadfully wrong in your thinking” if you think electing Romney is a good thing.

Maybe like you said it’s time for you to “wake up”.

You actually believe we would be better off voting in as many conservatives as possible and having Obama in office than if we voted in as many conservatives as possible and had Romney?

Potentially, that is correct.

Suppose 0bama wins in 2012. This means that there will be 8 years of rabid socialism (2009-2016). Sarah Palin would put an absolute halt to that trend in November 2016 when she won the Presidency.

Aside from destroying the GOP as a conservative party, if Romney wins in 2012, then we automatically end up with *12* straight years of socialism.

Think about it. If Romney won in 2012 then in 2016 he would be the incumbent, and there would be little possibility of a Sarah Palin candidacy. Thus, we end up with 4 years of 0bama and 8 years of Romney, or 4 years of 0bama, 4 years of Romney, and some NEW democrat socialist for another 4 years starting in 2017.

With Romney losing in 2012, however, due to a total de-energization of the GOP conservative/TEA party base (as we are seeing), the damage is limited to only *8* years of socialism.

Additionally, the GOP would be able to avoid the reeking taint of having embraced socialism under a Romney GOP administration, and the party might be able to survive as a legitimate coalition of social & fiscal conservatives and libertarians.

With Obama in office, even the RINO’s will oppose him. Virtually no Republicans will stand up to Romney. Why is it that more conservative goals were accomplished during Clinton’s 8 years than during 12 years under the Bushes.
