We survived almost 16 years of FDR, for a while, anyway. And Obama isn't nearly as smart or as capable, and Eleanor is dead.
I suspect a nation of free men will survive whatever happens. If they don't hit their knees and offer up their wrists for chains to be installed to the GOP.
Your party may not, though.
