(CNN) - America's gun laws, brought into sharp relief this spring after the fatal shooting of an unarmed teenager in Florida, will be the focus of likely GOP nominee Mitt Romney Friday at the annual meeting of the powerful National Rifle Association.

Romney, who is slated to address the gathering along with long shot candidate Newt Gingrich and former Republican hopeful Rick Santorum, will be tasked with convincing guns rights activists that his moderate record on the gun control in the past isn't reflective of his current positions.

I caught the last part of the speech....said he would support the 2nd Amendment,

Would NOT support the concept of a living Constitution.

Had much applause on limiting government and cutting taxes.

There is no focus on new gun laws. The same crowd of Commie Pinkos like Bloomberg are always calling for them. The fact of the matter is that no one is interested. Otherwise you would see the Rats jamming tons of bill through the House and Senate on the issue. They are not because this is an election year and they know the voting public is done with Gun Control laws.

Exactly. I want the press to show me ONE politician in a close race point to gun control as a campaign issue. Only Bloomberg is that foolish, and he can’t run again, thankfully (though watch him try to buy the governor’s mansion in NY).

I know talk is cheap, but it was a good speech.

“said he would support the 2nd Amendment”

Can anyone name a politician who does not say that? It’s the politician’s interpretation of 2A that counts.

This 2A supporter signed a gun ban that includes a $10,000 fine for possession of a hi-cap mag manufactured after a certain date. Look at your mags- date stamp there? Best not take it into Massachusetts lest you become a test case!

When this politician’s Attorney General set up his own rules for what guns could and could not be sold in Massachusetts, based on “consumer protection”, this governor did nothing.

Bloomberg was caught “with his pants down” on the zimmerman case because it was clear he knew nothing of the case at all. All he knew was what al sharpton spun. Bloomberg did not even know about the dead or alive bounty and was very angry when a reporter asked him about it.

“The same crowd of Commie Pinkos like Bloomberg are always calling for them. The fact of the matter is that no one is interested.”

Bingo! You got it right.

The Nazi bloomberg has a half-dozen wimp mercenaries to protect his left-wing ass from liberal, weeping sheep in NYC.

Ordinary, armed citizens scare his pants off.

States need to designate the leftist worm persona non grata and forbid him entry under penalty of arrest and imprisonment.
