It is so sad, yet it happens all too often, that success and the wealth that usually comes with it, destroys so many lives. I think it is no accident.

I find this to be a profound verse. I especially like the New King James version quoted above. Seeking “WHOM” he may devour. He is especially seeking out those who make it easy for him. Those that may have fallen away from their faith. Drunkenness, adultery, etc., makes you an easy target.

Ephesians 4:27 (NIV)

27 and do not give the devil a foothold.

So he died of progressive alcoholism, it would appear. I think this happens more often than is generally realized.
