Remember the German SS were origionally personal
security for the leader. Politically reliable,
sworn to protect HIM. Then they grew.
For the presidential security cadre to fall for
a honey trap is beyond belief, that means it’s
something else.
These guys were all from the Protective advance party (see other news sources) and in indian country with a history of FARC and narco terrorist activies of a high order. It strains credulity that a dozen of them on the eve of the president's arrival would gather together at a single choke point with local whores under controll of whatever underground/criminal element and be oblivious of video cameras. It's the time that the advance team would be prepping the arriving team on terrain, assets, known bad guys, high potentials, etc. Not a nine to five and it's Miller time job.
My cynical inner lizard brain whispers that such a gathering might be a cover to discuss matters away from others. Wouldn't be the first time ideas other than sex were discussed in a bordello...maybe something to do with oaths? But that's the stuff of novels and movies isn't it.
