FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) -- Police in Fort Wayne say a man told them he shot and killed a man who he said kicked in the door to his apartment.

Now THIS is the RIGHT way to report this sort of incident. We don’t know the resident’s name and we don’t know his address.

Neither does anyone else reading the paper.
